The producers have already said that Smokey can take on the form of people

I'm thinking that this is going to be the "War" whitmore was telling John about.

Yep, awesome episode. Ben and Locke at their finest.
Wasn't expecting Alex to slap Ben around haha Seems Ben attracts a lot of abuse.

ANy idea what the chick meant when she asked Lipidas
"What lies is the shadow of the statue?"
Is she an Other returning to the island.

I can't figure Ben out.
He seems pure evil, but then shows that maybe he isn't then does something pure evil.
Plus that brain of his is always working on full red line tilt. The way he set up Caesar to make John think he was protecting him was genius.
I am sure the nerds are on full internet scour as they try to decipher the hieroglyphics.

If im not mistaken, she works for someone that Saiyeed killed. Saiyeed killed that person because he had ties to whitmore. So those people on the island that have control of the guns are working for whitemore....idk im probably wrong.

I got the feeling they probably work for Widmore. I think everyone on the flight knew about the island.

I think it is code to determine who works for whidmore

What about a theory the Locke is actually the smoke monster. He really is dead.....just another entity or being.

Is Jacob an actual person or is he just the personification of "the Island?" I'd have to watch it again to give the exact quotes, but there were 2 times when somebody said "jacob. the island" right next to each other.

Great episode. To me the most enjoyable part was seeing the always in control Ben reduced to the scared follower. It was a real good way of showing that character completely out of his element.
I couldn't decipher one thing that Alex said though. Right when she pinned Ben up against the column she said "I know you have been planning to kill..." who? I couldn't understand it.
And I like how we find out more about Miles next week. The last member of the freighter crew that we have really no clue why he's there.

She said, I know you are already planning to kill John Locke again.

This was a truly fantastic episode. This show is getting better as it gets closer to the finish line. The Ben and Locke interactions are always among the best in the show and this episode was no exception. And, even though it seems that Locke has the upperhand over Ben now, I don't believe it for one minute. We've been down this road before, and you can bet Ben will have things turned in his favor before it's all said and down. I can't wait to see how he does it.

Okay, I was right, that was awesomeness!!
I guess anything that centers around Ben and Locke is great.
Someone mentioned that Locke is acting more confident, I definitely picked up on that.
I also agree that the people with the guns and the "what lies in the shadow of the statue" question are working for Widmore.
As for who is the good guy, this show reminds me of a PC game back in the day called Myst. Set on an island with two brothers trying to get you to do something and you didn't know which one to trust. In the end you couldn't trust either of them.
That's my guess with Ben and Widmore, don't trust either of them for a heartbeat.

Isn't the temple in the shadow of the statue?
