They arent really answering anything. They are creating a new storyline.

Id have to say that this was one of the better episodes in a while imo. Sure it created a new storyline but if that storyline is cruicial in the ending of the series then its worth it.

Yeah, but I want every question answered before this thing is over.... I dont want anything left hanging when the series ends next year.
I am sure they will have an hr or two special with the writers explaining a lot of things after it is all over.

Am I just making stuff up, or when our heroes landed on the island, after a while, didn't some food drop down from a plane for them? Wasn't it Dharma food?

I think they had to explain Hurleys non weight loss so yes they got Dharma food drops.
