wasn't being serious, though i wouldn't be all too suprised if they kindled a liking of each other
It makes sense. Juliette is easily manipulated and Sawyer is a con artist.

I went back and watched the Locke episode last night. When Locke woke up from having his leg set, Widmore definitely told him that the O6 had already been back for 3 years though it only seemed like a few days for Locke. Therefore, Sawyer and gang have only been in whatever time period they are currently in since Locke turned the wheel. This would not be anywhere near 3 years.
As someone else said, it could be that Locke was immediately taken into current day after leaving the island while Sawyer and his gang actually lived out the 3 years on the island.
OK, now I've confused myself. Either way, it seems that the show may have hit some inconsistencies based on what period of development Jack's drug habit, beard growth, and desire to return were in when Locke was brought into his hospital compared to previous seasons.

i think locke jumped into the future.
although when ben turned the wheel he did not jump ahead.
maybe the island just decides when they should jump to?

maybe, but basing a timeline on jack's beard growth is not a good way to go. that can be done in a matter of days.
drug habit / desire to return to the island? maybe. but i think there is still room in the timeline for this to happen.
i can't remember if it was discussed here, but is there any indication as to how much time passed between when locke dies and when they get back? kate was already moved out right?

locke didn't jump into the future because the exit was in the present.
just accept that jin and co. will be with dharma for three years by the time jack, kate, and hurley meet up with them in the current timeline and be relieved that he now will know far better english!! no more fricken subtitles WOOT!
when jack, kate and hurley flash off of 316 they are flashed into sawyer, juliet, and jin's timeline + 3 years . since they have been removed from the island for 3 years... the producers are gonna have an uproar with getting explanations about this but with all the things going on with lost, this makes sense to me

I don't understand why everyone is getting so hung up on making the two groups timelines match up.
The people are time travelling. It seems to me that the timelines need not match up.

I'm looking forward to the replay of last week's episode with the notes at the bottom almost as much as this week's episode.
Well, not really almost as much, but I am looking forward to it.

Yeah, I love those, very informative. I'm going to the LSU basketball game, so I have to wait longer. It's gonna kill me.

After reading and watching some recaps... I am digging the idea of Jacks Grandfather being Jacob.
Makes sense

whered you read that?
Im still rolling with Walt being Jacob.
And I watched the episode last night where Michael gets hit by a car and isnt there during Walt's youth, etc.
I wonder how much "power" Locke knew both he and Walt possessed, especially that early into being lost.
When he told him to use his mind's eye to hit the target, and he did, Walt said:
"That was weird. It was like a dream. It was actually happening in my head."
In the last episode, Walt was dreaming of the "people all around John at the beach, and they wanted to hurt him."
If Walt is so special, how did John know even then?
He told Michael that same day:
"Hes been through more than most go through in their whole life. And, we arent back home, so as long as we are out here, I think you should let him realize his potential."
Potential to lead, just as Ben taught Locke his potential?

I haven't seen this discussed yet, but if the recent flight on Aljeera or whatever was supposed to bring the O6 back and mimic the Oceanic 815 flight, do you think it might mean that Oceanic 815 was replicating another flight? And some passengers on 815 were actually former Losties trying to get back?
Could Jack be one of those people; on the Island a third time? It was strange he landed in the middle of nowhere in the first episode, in the same way that Hurley etc. "vanished" from the plane and appeared at a random spot after the 316 crash.

Dont remember.... but it makes sense since he played a crucial role in getting Jack what he needed, he said he wanted to go where someone couldnt find him, he's obviously been on the island since Christian and Jack are crucial to the island. Would also explain why Christian could speak for "Jacob" and why Christian and Claire were able to just chill in the cabin.

Most likely Jack's Dad, Christian.

in a casket under the plane, as Locke was on the 316 flight
