I think Ben killing Locke was part of his plan all along. Richard told Locke that he would have to die to get the '06 back to the island; Christian confirmed it just before John turned the wheel. Ben knew that Locke needed to die to convince Jack (who was key) and the rest to come back. Ben did not let John commit suicide because he needed the information about Jin/Sun and Ms. Hawking. As usual Ben needed a pawn to manipulate others.

I agree with this.

And Ben is a straight up gangsta.

Yeah...dude definitely knew where he was going. Any thoughts to Widmore planting people on the Ajira flight for some purpose. Ceasar certianly doesn't look like someone who just surprisingly crashed on an island.

You turn the wheel then you leave.

If you want/need to move the island, but no one wants to leave you get a polar bear to do it.

My wife and I were thinking about this. Sun is the only female Oceanic 6 we haven't seen yet, but one would assume she got pulled from the plane like Jack/Kate/Hurley.

I think Sun jumped with the rest of the O6, we just haven't seen her yet.

Ben didn't jump because he wasn't part of the O6.

Locke didn't jump because he was dead at the time and didn't resurrect until he was on the island (remember, they jumped while flying above the island).

Frank didn't jump because he wasn't part of the O6.

The big question is who was the female that left on the boat with Frank? Could it be Claire? We haven't seen her in a long, long time.

So who is more evil? Widmore or Ben?

I have to go with Ben by an longshot; he has done almost every unimaginable evil thing there is.

With Widmore, most of it is just Ben claiming he did or is about to do something horrible, but there is a little proof. I am not even 100% convinced Widmore is bad.

Well Widmore's people did murder Alex in cold blood and he sure didn't seem torn up by it when Ben showed up at his house.

I think they are both evil. They both seem like they will do what they need to get back to the island.

I think Widmore likes to delegate his evil. Ben gets down in the trenches and kills people with his hands. I would be far more afraid to be around Ben.

Yes they are both evil.

Once again, Widmore's people killed Alex and he showed no remorse.

It is possible they used more force than they were told to use. It is odd that only the armed part of the Widmore crew seems evil.

Although most of Ben's crew also seems fairly benign.

I don't trust Whidmore or Ben. However, I do trust Richard... well not trust, but like. I know Richard will probably end up being the sleaziest guy & he's definitely the type of guy who pulls the wool over the sheep's eyes... but I like him.

Richard has more going on than meets the eye since he never seems to age.

Also Richard recruited Ben.....he may have come up with the idea to gas all of the Initiative. Or maybe Ben did.

Sure seems like Richard might be the Wizard of Oz.... pulling all the strings Ben, Wid and John.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Richard is on anybody's team but the island's. His allegiance has been to whoever the current "leader" of the island is.
