Decent show last night.
I'd like to know who was chasing/shooting at them in the small boats, but I guess we'll find that out later (shite, or maybe we won't
). Could it possibly be the crew from the Black Rock? Those boats looked like they could be old (even though they had airline water in them).
I love how Jack just totally buys everything ben says now. What a pansy. Ben fricks them over for 4 seasons, and now he's like "He's on our side now.." and he just expects everybody to buy into that.
Sayid is a bad mofo, but they do tend to send the most inept "assassins" after him though. I mean seriously, you turn around and shoot the bed? Twice? And then it's the "Where is he?" moment, as you don't see him running at you about 3 feet on the side of the bed? Come the frick on...
I'm really surprised Sun was there with Aaron. For a minute, I thought she was the one trying to get Aaron away from Kate, but it was Ben. Looks like Ben convinces Sun next week not to kill him (how many times has he done that before?).
Still can't wait to see how Locke gets off the island...

Heres something I was thinking about last night, that makes no sense.
Ok so, Jin is alive but when he wakes up on the island he is obviously in the past. So watch this--How is that possible?
The Helicopter on its way back to the island was in between the freighter and the island. They saw the island disapear.
Next you got Farriday in his boat when the island moves and they move with the island--this is explained by ferriday b/c he says "we were in the cone" or some crap like that.
Ok so next you got sawyer he moves with the island.
Next, you got Jin who apparently moved with the island, but how is that possible? He was between the Freighter and the helicopter when the freighter blew. The helicopter didnt move with the island so how the hell did jin move with the island we he was way outside this "cone"
DIscuss

50 feet in the air is not a part of the island.
Jin was still in the water around the island that moved.

If he really said that they were "within the cone", then that's all easy to answer. First, Sawyer was on the island already. We saw him drinking with Juliette.
Second, a cone is distinguished by having a radius that decreases from bottom to top. Therefore, the radius on the surface is wider that the radius in the air. So that even if a helicopter that is actually closer to the center of said cone horizontally that someone on the surface, it can actually be outside of the cone itself. This would be exagerrated further the smaller the slope of the cone is.

Yes, Cocomo, that is fantastic.
I think they did explain it when Daniel said "cone". We assume he finds all of this out while building the Orchid station.

Let's hope the "enhanced" rerun of the this episode next week explains a few things.
I did think the episode was a little predictable though. Once you knew it wasn't Clair's mother after Aaron, you knew it was Ben.
When you heard the people speaking French, you knew it was Rousseau.
Kind of figured Jin would be back, but, still excited by it.

I have been lurking for a few years and only signed up a few months ago.
I never post and this made me laugh out loud! This explains it all. Cocomo, you ARE awesome at paint!

Seriously, I'm with you.
This island would seem to be millions of years old, or at least thousands, but so far they've only jumped to times within +/- 50 years of their original time.
WTF, we could at least see some dinosaurs, or a five star resort on the beach or something.

Love the illustration, but wouldn't the "cone" be inverted? The wheel that Ben turned at the Orchid Station was deep underground (since they rode a elevator down) so if the wheel is the origin, the tip of the cone would start there and the base of the cone (inverted) where it was largest would be at the surface.
Also, IMO the effect of turning the wheel only extends to the surface (land or water), thus, the helicopter in the air would not be affected even if it was in flight directly over the island.
