This episode begs the question:
If Jin, who was off the Island on the ship, is jumping through time, why did the hellicopter with the O6 not jump as well? And why did the ship not jump with Jin?

If the helicopter was flying on the "bearing" then maybe they were protected from it.

how do you know the ship doesn't move?
or maybe Jin was blown so far away from the ship and towards the island during the explosion that he was inside the islands "radius"
