Well, then the helicopter would be inside of it.

And I don't think the wheel has to necessarily be the "origin" of the cone. Just the core (center)...as in the "top" of the cone is directly over the island where the wheel is located.

Awesome drawing Cocomo. I love the attention to detail. You even drew slanty eyes on Jin.

I love how Jack just totally buys everything ben says now. What a pansy. Ben fricks them over for 4 seasons, and now he's like "He's on our side now.." and he just expects everybody to buy into that

Jack has had a miserable life since he has been back....no matter what Ben has in mind it can't be much worse..At least he might have Kate on the island

Also, IMO the effect of turning the wheel only extends to the surface (land or water), thus, the helicopter in the air would not be affected even if it was in flight directly over the island

That is my thought

I also thought about this when they got in the canoes. But I don't know, it may still be there.

I found it funny that you couldn't see it when the island jumped, unless it was behind it.

Probably one of those things they are hoping we will forget...

Love the illustration, but wouldn't the "cone" be inverted? The wheel that Ben turned at the Orchid Station was deep underground (since they rode a elevator down) so if the wheel is the origin, the tip of the cone would start there and the base of the cone (inverted) where it was largest would be at the surface.

Also, IMO the effect of turning the wheel only extends to the surface (land or water), thus, the helicopter in the air would not be affected even if it was in flight directly over the island.

You're reaching too far with these assumptions, IMO.

i'm interested in seeing if they go back to the time the statue was being built or maybe when the ship crashed on the island.

alright here are a couple of my theories:
1. Claire's Mom really does know what's going on and Ben was just having her play "stupid." Why else would Ben's lawyer be at Claire's mother's house? Ben probably sold her on the idea bc ultimately Claire's Mom wants Claire to come back from the island and Ben convinced her that if she just did what he said he could make that happen? Also, Ben himself would not win a custody battle for Aaron and when Kate visited Ben's lawyer, he said the boy will be taken from you.
2. Kate is going to be easily convinced to go back to the island when she hears that Sawyer is in danger and it's the only way to save him. Especially after he jumped out of the helicopter and swam back to the island for her etc.

Just my thoughts, could easily be wrong about the 1st one but the Kate/Sawyer thing is a given IMO

1. I agree. First off if Claire's mom is a money grubber she would get far more form the airlines in a lawsuit to raise the baby of her dead daughter. So it would be very easy for Ben to get her to go that way. However, I think that was just a red herring albeit a very shot one since Ben admitted his part with the lawyer immediately.

2.Kate will go back when she realizes she will lose Aaron and everyone else if she doesn't go back.

I wonder if walt is included since he left with Ben's blessing. Not sure he counts.

If you can't change the future then what is this:

also, why wouldn't have Desmond known it was Farraday at the hatch.

And wouldn't Jin know who Rousseau is?

Jin realized who she was when she said her name. He probably didn't get her whole back story because he didn't know English then.

Desmond didn't recognize him because they hadn't technically met yet. They only met when he was flashing between times which is why it was possible for them to meet. There was nothing to trigger the memory like he had on the boat with Penny.

I'm still trying to tie together the whole Ajira Airlines thing. I am thinking that was something in the future.

Ajira specializes in 'adventures':

Australian Walkabout
Polar Adventure
Island Adventures
Swimming with Sharks
Excavation: Ruins

The island contains polar bears, sharks, and ruins (at least of an old statue of a foot). Coincidence? Huummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
