Just wondering now that MIB is in Locke's body and Jacob is dead if the situation has changed. MIB may have a pact/deal going with Widmore to get MIB off the island in exchange for Widmore controlling the island,
now that's the first reasonable and plausible notion you've had

Why couldn't he jump to another dead person's form?

according to Ilana, he's stuck now - whatever form he takes when Jacob's dead is it for him

Darlton explained that MIB could freely go between any form he wanted, but when he killed Jacob, he is stuck in 2 forms: Locke and the Black Smoke. Not sure why but he can no longer take the forms of Yemi, Christian, etc.

Which would probably end up being a lie - MIB dumps Locke's shell and assumes Widmore.
Quite possibly. Maybe MIB needs a dead body going from the island to the outside world that he can jump into once he crosses the island threshold. In other words he may be setting Widmore up for the kill so he can use his body. As Widmore, he would be in command of the submarine and have access to all for Widmore's resources in general.

Cool. I missed that somewhere along the way. Thanks.

Ok - what happens when there's a "new Jacob" then? Still stuck? I think there's a loophole to be exploited here. I think he'd much rather leave the island as Widmore.

They didn't say.

High praise from a man who enforces such tough standards. Thank you.

Given Ben's long history of wrong doing and to redeem himself with a sheer act of kindness toward Alex in the alternate timeline was moving. I was applauding inside. But when Ben had the chance to gun-down Ilana and instead poured his guts out and then Ilana basically forgave him by accepting him back into the fold, I just lost it. And then Jack showing the ultimate courage and show of faith in the scene with Richard was inspiring. Jack is finally rising to the occasion to be the leader that everyone looked up to at the beginning of the first season. And of course we now know that Widmore is back to the island which is almost certainly bad tidings. This episode was awesome !!
+ f'ing 1. I was really upset this was a flash sideways as I really wanted a flashback. But this episode was money. That flash sideways felt more on-Island than off it. Ben's redemption and confession was powerful and straight out of Catholic forgiveness. While I have liked Ben's character, I have always thought he was the biggest POS on the Island...and in 2 minutes he erased 6 seasons of opinions.

"Because no one will have me..."
One of the best delivered lines of the whole series.

Awesome. And the look on Ben's face when Llana said "I'll have you" was priceless.

I liked how the promo said that a man responsible for taking countless lives will meet his demise...
What do you know, symbolically, the promo was right.

And what is it gonna take for Tiger Ryno et al. to quit saying MIB is the good guy and Jacob the bad guy?

Lets face facts, Ben is going to die by the end of the series, and I am so glad that he finally really had redemption before it is too late. I think Ben may suffer a very heroic death and may be the downfall to MIB.

MIB could stab little Aaron and Ji Yeon and he would still claim that.

I thought this was the best off-island story so far. Nods to past events on-island (Ben choosing the Island over Alex) as well as an analogy to Ben's current on-island redemption.
I'm really dumbfounded as to where Widmore is gonna fit in. I don't think he's aligned with MiB, but at the same time we know he hates Ben. Then again Ben is no longer really in power anymore, so maybe Widmore is just there to take back control of the Island from whoever.
