Like I’ve always said, don’t mind the all white versions.
You’re the one who has something to deal with and as always, your opinion isn’t a fact.

Yes dude, I know. Tolkien is my favorite author of all time and have read The Silmarillion multiple times. Did you want me to give a synopsis on the flight of the Noldor or something? I've been in this thread trying to actually talk about the story not rant about politics and name calling the entire time or have to answer "so no?" questions when my answer is obvious.
Iwy, I know this is going to come as a shock to you, but you’re a racist for simply knowing about flight of the Noldor. I know you’ve never judged someone by the color of their skin, but you are indeed a racist for acknowledging reality according to people on this thread.

The more you dig into actual lore, the more you learn Galadriel was far different in her earlier days. Proud, willful, defiant, and a definite Alpha in the Noldor camp. All of her immediate family were, she's the only one who didn't die in the First Age.
That mellowness we get in LOTR is the result of millennia of anger and pride converting to reflection and regret. And remember, she was still elevated above the others. Frodo offered her exactly what she wanted for thousands of years, and it was only her experience by that point, that allowed her to see she shouldn't take it. Had that happened earlier, she would have.
The Galadriel we get in the Second Age should reflect that.
She never had a sword or wore armor dude. As much as I’m Celebrimbor as being an armored badass, Galadriel was a step above him. He was the third greatest elf to step foot in Middle Earth, while Fëanor and Galadriel were far superior in power to him, which is saying a lot. Galadriel is so powerful she never needed a sword, but the writers of this show completely ignore that.

Galadriel, like all the other names of elvish persons in The Lord of the Rings, is an invention of my own. It is in Sindarin form (see Appendices E and F) and means 'Maiden crowned with gleaming hair'. It is a secondary name given to her in her youth in the far past because she had long hair which glistened like gold but was also shot with silver. She was then of Amazon disposition and bound up her hair as a crown when taking part in athletic feats."
"So it came to pass that when the light of Valinor failed, for ever as the Noldor thought, she joined the rebellion against the Valar who commanded them to stay; and once she had set foot upon that road of exile she would not relent, but rejected the last message of the Valar, and came under the Doom of Mandos. Even after the merciless assault upon the Teleri and the rape of their ships, though she fought fiercely against Fëanor in defence of her mother's kin, she did not turn back. Her pride was unwilling to return, a defeated suppliant for pardon; but now she burned with desire to follow Fëanor with her anger to whatever lands he might come, and to thwart him in all ways that she could." - the Unfinished Tales

Haven't read that before.
Ummmm, yeah this was well known. Galadriel and Fëanor’s hatred for one another led to a lot of bad shite. Like it led to tens of thousands of deaths, not because of Galadriel, but because of Fëanor and his pride. It’s why Gimli asked for a strand of her hair and her giving him three is one hell of a gift and a compliment.
Everyone in Middle Earth knew of Fëanor and his niece’s feud. She may have gone to Middle Earth due to what happened to Fëanor, but she had different reasons and methods for going there than he did. They’re acting as if Galadriel is a spring chicken here, but she’s over 3,000 years old at the start of this series. She’s the greatest of the elves even at this time, with only Celebrimbor and Gil-Galad debatably being her equal, and they quite frankly aren’t. Fëanor was her only equal or superior in Elven kind, and gifting her a sword demeans this.

I think when it was all said and done, the best came out on top. The Lion King. If I remember correctly.
You do remember correctly, and if we ever do it again, the Lion King is ineligible for nomination.

I think this gives us room for drama in the series... Celebrimbor is the grandson of Feanor. I recently caught the Nerd of the Rings youtube on Curufin, his father. Seems Celebrimbor was alive and in Valinor with Curufin and Feanor, and came over with them (his mother did not). Curufin was seen as the most like Feanor, including in the a-hole dept.
If Galadriel is holding that grudge, that paints a target on Celebrimbor. And we know Celebrimbor is out on his own; he's not in Lindon with Gil-Galad and Cirdan. It makes sense that the Rings come from the same bloodline that the Silmarils did. Both desired, and disastrous.
And yet, she ends up with one of the Three at the end. Kinda makes you wonder how they get from A to B there. I suppose that will be a big part of the plot.
Probably because Celebrimbor knew that Galadriel could be trusted with it. Celebrimbor has the same weaknesses as his grandfather which was extreme pride, vindictiveness, but also a curiosity that could be used against him.
Of all the descendants of Fëanor, Celebrimbor was certainly the most similar to him in all the good and bad ways. It’s why Fëanor despite hating Melkor was vulnerable to him, and Sauron recognized these same strengths and weaknesses in Celebrimbor. Celebrimbor and Galadriel were never close, but I think Celebrimbor knew talent when he saw it.

OML and me are like Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Y’all are like John Paxton and Dennis Rodman. A retard who was helpful in certain situations and a white guy who shot 3’s like step curry when you needed him but 90% of the time he was useless.

He still doesn’t understand the lore truly. Galadriel went back to rule a realm of Middle Earth and refused to take the Oath of Fëanor. He thinks that innately means armor. It does not. Galadriel was so feared even by the likes of Sauron that they wouldn’t go near her.

The show deviates from the Silmarillion in a number of ways. The events of the First Age are significantly simplified and altered to set up the characters and settings of the show.
I still liked it.

I've not followed other posts which I'm not involved. Meant no offense. but honestly didn't keep up with your bona fides on the topic.
I liken it to when 2nd hand fans (or normies) hear things like 'baby Yoda' and assume someone is talking about Yoda as an actual baby... Yes, that's happened to me once.

There are no 'all white' versions. There's only Tolkien's work and how he chose to tell the story. You DO need to get over it, because Tolkien isn't changing any of it. And never will.
