Yet you all cant shut up and stop hyperventilating about this thing that supposedly doesnt matter anyways...

Or is this just cope and you've moved into the bargaining phase?

Which, thank god, then hopefully all the whiners can just frick off and people that decide to watch the show can do so without having to tune out the screeching of the manchildren endlessly rage posting how little they care in every new trailer/episode/season discussion.

You’re not in charge of anything. If you don’t like what they post, stop fricking reading and responding. Problem solved.

The preview that Prime showed last night looked like this is an animated movie. Weird. Are the actors like CGI'd or something?

Nah, it's too fun watching you 45 year old manchildren cry all over the internet cause some black elves and hobbits exist in some fantasy adaption from some rich guy using his frick you money to give a billion dollar gift to himself... Simultaneously telling everyone how little you care.

This shite is destroying you mental midgets and it's endlessly enjoyable to observe. I just feel for the people that would like to watch this likely mediocre show without having to put earplugs in cause you all cant stop screeching.

Nah, his solution is to send anyone he doesn’t like and disagrees with his worldview to the gulag. Bronc is a scumbag.

frick you. You little punks don't have the power to cancel Tolkien. We don't need your little movie studios or electronic media to enjoy his work. They can make all the shitty adaptations they like. It won't change a thing.

I guess you missed the part where he said he's read LOTR every year for almost 30 years. He's said that on the book board multiple times before these woke debates ever started. He clearly loves Tolkien as much as anybody on this board and definitely isn't trying to get him cancelled. There is nothing wrong with somebody liking Tolkien and also looking forward to this show. Nothing. Now if you're supporting/wanting a certain agenda pushed that's a different story.

Was there a new one last night?

I haven't seen anything like that, depending on your definition of 'CGI animation'.

I mean, Galadriel looks a bit Ninja-like taking down the troll, kinda Matrix-like. Arondir moves well, too. But that's in line with Legolas from the movies, so nothing new.
Keep in mind, Legolas wasn't supposed to be some ultimate Elf warrior, most of the Elves in this show are considered superior to him.

The troll and balrog would be CGI, the orcs are prosthetics and makeup. The Dwarves and Harfoots are camera-angle tricks.

What looked animated to you?

What's the consensus on Meteor Man's identity? I'm guessing a Blue Wizard and he and the Harfoots head out east and deal with some Sauron worshiping easterlings for their 5 seasons. At least that's my foolish hope, and he's not Gandalf or Annatar, neither of which would make any sense.

Wizards didn’t show up until well into the Third Age. At least in the three main published material.

In Tolkien's later writings, he had the two Blue Wizards showing up around the time of the forging on the one ring. Earlier versions had them showing up in the third age with the other three. So there's a Tolkien basis for them showing up in this show.

If I recall correctly.. ( and it has been several decades since I have read this material...) weren't Wizards from the Maiar?? Same goes for the Balrogs... (If I recall correctly...)

And the Maiar helped with creation...

Yes, but that is from unfinished material, that may or may not be his final thought on the subject. He also stated that there may many more wizards other than the five known. But in the Silmarillion, The Lord Of the Rings and The Hobbit the five wizards showed up in the year 1000 of the Third Age.
