We were in Breckinridge, skiing in 20-below conditions.
First night we went out, it was 30 below.
Fun times in the hot tub with two yankee chicks, but shite was cold.

Really?? Wow! He looked 55 (or older) in the show. I'm assuming his hair and beard were dyed gray.

I thought the mini-series followed the book fairly well. But of course, it had to leave out a lot of succinct details.
(Lorenas kidnapping and rapes were much more graphic in the book). I remember feeling sick to my stomach reading that. He wrote and described degenerate bandits/outlaws very well.

Greatest thing ever put on TV, anyone who argues is a queer and a Biden commie.
The only other one I would even put in a discussion next to it is Band of Brothers, but I still give the edge to LD. I have watched LD more than anything out there. Started watching it in high school and have watched it at least once a year ever since.

The dialogue is almost exact to the book. The only thing they leave out is the backstories that are sometimes given by the narrator.

Still my favorite TV miniseries
And read the book if you haven't yet. One of the best works of fiction ever written by an American author IMO

No way really for them to have done this scene and do it justice in an eighties tv movie, but one of my favorite scenes in the book is the showdown between the grizzly and the Texas bull
