Lightyear flops earning only $51 million opening weekend

Unbelievable how a Buzz fricking Lightyear, one of the most popular characters in animated history, movie flops. How the frick do you do that? Shouldn’t boys all over the world want to see a Buzz Lightyear movie? But seems like parents are keeping their kids at home. Between this and the Florida tax exemption being revoked, and the disaster of Star Wars, they’ve lit billions of dollars on fire in the name of being Woke. They’ve outdone themselves. I was generous when I said this movie would gross $850 million.

Yeah, somethings not adding up.
According to Box Office Mojo
Lightyear made $20.7 million on Friday (yesterday). If weekend trends hold up, it will probably make $30 million today. And then tomorrow it will probably make $20 million.
That’s approximately $71 million over all 3 days. The Deadline article in the OP says the studio was shooting for $70-$80 million.
Edit: Not that I couldn’t see predicting it tanking if the Saturday numbers fall off, but it would seem prudent to wait and see if they fall off.
The article pays reference to lackluster matinee numbers for Saturday as a reason to predict that Saturday will fall off, but then the article was published at 7:55 am.

In the theater right now with my 9 year old son and his friend. Only 4-5 other people here.
We’re halfway through and it’s been pretty terrible. Boring and jokes aren’t landing.
It’s definitely woke as the second lead is a black lesbian that gets married to another woman and then is pregnant and gives birth to kids.
Didn’t realize it had all that shite in it or wouldn’t have brought them. Actually pissed I spent money on this trash.

Buzz is the only white person. Everyone else in the movie has been a minority.

Just saw on Rotten Tomatoes that Doug Walker (aka the Nostalgia Critic, which I haven't watched regularly since 2011) had given it a negative review. I knew he had gone bald, but RT could have at least chosen a pic of his with a hat on for their profile pic of him.
