In a recent thread I mentioned this American treasure and I wonder how many younger people have ever watched any of his films.
Whenever I'm channel surfing and a JS movie is on I stop and watch it.
I keep trying to "rate" my favorite Jimmy Stewart Films and it's just too damn hard to do because they are all so well acted.

I lived in Pittsburgh for a few months before I realized that Jimmy Stewart's hometown was just an hour drive away. So the next day I made a day trip out of it and went visit his museum. Bought a Harvey blanket as a souvenir. Thats my favorite performance of his.

Vivacious Lady, Bend of the River, and The Naked Spur all deserve recognition

Strategic Air Command was good, too.
He did a number of documentaries for USAF (USAAF in WWII)

I’d throw rear window in the mix, too.

Loved him in the Hitchcock movies. Today's generation is missing out on many GOAT actors/actresses.

My favorite actor of all time! Rear Window, Its a Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith. Loved Saunders in Mr. Smith as well.
From all accounts he was an outstanding person as well.

Is this thread for people that are 60+ years old?

Believe it or not, they did not destroy all of the film made prior to 1995. It's possible to see Jimmy Stewart movies even today.
His scene with Donna Reed on the phone in Its a Wonderful Life has so much sexual energy, it could be used to power a small city for a year.

He always played the good guy so I enjoyed his role in Rope.

He was also the bad guy in one of the Thin Man movies.

Not just my favorite Jimmy Stewart movie...it's my favorite move of all time.
"Nothing's too good for the man who shot Liberty Valance." Brings a tear to my eye, every time I see it.

The faith Mr. Smith has in his government in that movie...something that hasn't aged well at all. But I love this movie.
