That was my thought process for years after I first saw this movie.

Same when Marv gets electrocuted. I crack up when that happens.

Am I the only one that gets aggravated with the family when they blame Kevin for everything?

In Home Alone 1 the house at the end where the wet bandits get arrested is way out of place to be directly across the street from the McCallisters house.

Seems way to small (although still a nice house).

Their complete disregard for placing any accountability on Buzz is very frustrating. He looks like a high school kid that constantly antagonizes an 8 year old. They should let the college cousin that calls him a moron beat his arse.

Fun fact: the Murphys house is actually the house across the street from the McCallisters house in real life.

I don’t want this thread to die but I’m afraid we may have covered everything.

Not necessarily arguing but Marv did say the Mccallisters house was THE house. And it isnt like they were in a DSLD subdivision so its possible there was a mix bag of house sizes, etc. around.

Did Kevin ever go back and pay for that toothbrush. Seems like it would be the right thing to do

I assume Kevin paid for the toothbrush. This is the same kid that promised to send Mr. Duncan the money to fix his broken store window.

I apologize in advance for not reading 58 pages..

But has there been a decent account of the end scenes timeline in Home Alone (1)?.
I understand it gets dark around 5 - 5:30 in December.
He visits the Santa (it's dark)
He visits the church..
Then he starts his defense.
And add 13 minutes for Mac and cheese

Attackers start at 9pm..

What's cool is that when Harry is showing Marv the automatic timers turning on the lights at each house, he uses the correct (in real life) address numbers.

The Murphys' house sold for $1.7 million just two years ago. Guess they fixed the flood damage.

Watched this yesterday. I'm sure this has been mentioned, but when Kevin is carrying the groceries home and the bags break, it's obvious the heavy items like tide aren't in there. It shows the tide container in the very next scene.
