I took my 10-year-old to see a live production of Rocky Horror, so I’m probably not the right one to ask.

Here are some I remember watching around that age (and that haven't been mentioned):
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Critters/Critters 2
The Blob (the one from the 80s, not the original B&W version)
Warlock
I'm sure there's more but I can't remember them.

He's watched Beetlejuice before. I need to pull up Killer Klowns, that one is stupid enough and not scary for him to like it.

Gremlins
Walmart had a Blu-ray with both Gremlins movies along with a Gizmo Funko Pop! keychain for like $15 that I picked up a few months ago.

he's watched Ghostbusters and Addams Family. I don't know if he would like Little Shop of Horrors, but I'll add it to the list. I love Little Monsters, but he already gets in enough trouble to let him watch a movie about playing pranks on people. I'll probably wait on that one, but I'm sure he'll like it.
Here's what I've compiled so far for an under age 10 PG-13 Scary Movie List:
Gremlins
Gremlins 2
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Little Monsters
Monster Squad
Tremors
The Lost Boys
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Beetlejuice
Monster House
Edward Scissorhands
The Witches
The Worst Witch
Addams Family
Addams Family Values
Coraline
Corpse Bride
Arachnophobia
Goosebumps
Goosebumps 2
Monster Squad
Zombieland
Little Shop of Horrors
Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters II
Ernest Scared Stupid
Hocus Pokus
Van Helsing
Dark Shadows

i think arachnophobia and tremors are good suggestions, pretty light on the scares but still entertaining.

I just let my 9 year old watch Ernest Scared Stoopid and he was in my bed that same night. That Troll in the bed scene was a bad idea to let him see.

How does your list not have Critters

Would The Burbs be considered a scary movie? I just think its funny.

Once you finish the list show him the original IT

Got to build up to IT. Hopefully it'll take a few years.

Not movies but if you can find a way to watch Nickelodeon's original Are You Afraid of the Dark series then that would probably be right up his alley. They have a new 3 part series that just came out as well.
