^^ this one hasn't aged well but I still like it
John Ritter is really good in this, it's sad and funny at the same time.

The movie posters/covers in this thread are bringing back memories of going to Blockbuster around '88-'93

^^ this one REALLY didn't age well but it's worth seeing just for Gene Simmons villain role
John Cusack and Demi Moore, but Bobcat Goldthwaite stole the show
^^ worth seeing if only for Mathilda May's ta-ta's
^^ I like this but Selleck's badass turn at the end is almost laughable - F Murray Abraham great as always

The BEST little known movie ever - and in my top 5 all-80s movies. If you've never seen it - watch it. Now.
And then there is . . .
I remember watching this through the wavy lines of glory days of Skinamax.
Oh my . . .

Innerspace is a great choice for this thread. I don't know why it did so poorly at the box office.

I think Quaid should have played it a little more straight (he leaned campy, which was okay, but straighter would have been funnier), but that cast was fantastic.
Short, Picardo and McCarthy (and, frankly, Picardo and McCarthy never phoned it in) were all outstanding. Fiona Lewis, Vernon Wells, Henry Gibson, Orson Bean, just on and on - all the smaller roles seemed filled with great actors.

Meg Ryan was at the pinnacle of her hotness in Innerspace.
Damn shame she let Hollywood pressure and some hack of a plastic surgeon mutilate her.

1980 classic.
Tony Danza and Michele Pfeiffer (and the whole Jimmy Shine going to Vietnam subplot) were mere sidelines to the over-the top comedy in this movie, with Robert Wuhl, a very young Fran Drescher, and Stuart Pankin (who later went on to be a major player in HBO's Not Necessarily the News).
Notable lines:
"You squirrels better have some nuts in your mouth!"
"Well, it does have a little whang in it"
"Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia.. he's an English Guy.. he came to fight the Turkish.."
"Your arse is grass.. and I'm the lawnmower!"
"You ladies hear about the man with 5 penises? His pants fit him like a glove"
and of course the ultimate:
"VOLARE!"

Hollywood Knights - an interesting riff on American Graffiti, in some ways superior, I think. Or almost a thinking man's Porky's.
Danza just isn't the guy to lead a movie - he's two-dimensional, although he wasn't bad in this.
The supporting cast and writing were excellent.
