Leno was more appealing when I was a kid. Now it's Coco and then Kimmel.

I can't stand how Leno has to repeat the punchline of every joke he tells. Drives me crazy!

I do watch when he does Headlines, or if there's a celebrity on I like; other than that, it's Letterman.

Craig Ferguson is better than both, though!

Ferguson and Conan are the two best by far. But between Leno and Letterman, I'll go with the Chin everytime.

Although wouldn't Ferguson be the natural successor to Letterman?

Ferguson has some very funny moments. While I really like Conan I find myself laughing more with Leno. Guess I'm getting old...

Letterman back in the day was way better than any of 'em now, including himself by a wide wide margin.

I haven't watched the late night shows in years but back when I did I always felt like Leno was superior to Letterman. I never really found letterman to be very funny.

Letterman fo sho. The reason the dude lost the Tonight Show was he was up to his ears in pussy and could not keep his eye on the prize.

I think this is the right answer. I don't know because I haven't watched any of them in more than a decade.

When I watched Letterman his politics were unknown to me. What side does he favor now?

I made the comment "I like Letterman's spontaneity over Leno's joke telling" in a Carson thread and I stick by it. I never thought of Leno as anything but a comedian telling jokes for a laugh. Letterman was just funny.

Letterman created late night comedy as it is today.

Leno is funny as hell on his own. I saw him in Reno in the 80's and his ad lib stuff on "what do you do sir" made me laugh as hard as I ever have. He completely toned down for Tonight.
