This show is going to be weird without Stabler. I'm giving it a try.

Not too bad so far...it's just a dsk rip off though so the storyline is a little predictible

I thought the same thing. I can't believe they brought him up too in the episode all casually.

I see they brought Danny Pino, the guy from Cold Case. Hadn't seen him on yet but was shown on the opening credits.

the way they are shooting the episodes make it look like a completely different show. I'm not sure if I like that new detective, Amanda, or not but at least Alex is back

Like the new chick

Although, without Stabler, we'll have to see.

they should've made Ice-T the new lead detective

Was the station set all new as well? Looked that way. Not as gritty.

Feels like a totally different show, and one I'm not sure I like.

At least Ice-T, Munch, and the Capt. Kragen were actually more involved in this episode. Last season, they were hardly involved, especially Munch and Kragen.

Munch and Cragen are my favorites, and I'm glad Warner is still around. Did Elliot take early retirement?

Yeah, towards the end, Cragen told Benson that he had put in for his papers. I'm gonna keep watching but Stabler being gone sucks.

I haven't watched SVU in a while, how did they handle Stabler's exit?

he shot a teenage girl at the end of last season after she shot up the police station.

they said he wasn't sure if he wanted to come back.

at the end of tonight's show, they said he put in his retirement papers. olivia cried. it was kinda sad.

at the end of last season he shot a girl who went on a shooting rampage threw out the squad room and killed her. He took a leave of absence and was told he wouldn't be allowed to come back to work until he got a psych evaluation and decided to put in for early retirement
