Game time boys. Destiny is all. Probably the best show where every characters name starts with Æthel- currently running on Netflix

SPOILERS
Strong opening with Æthelflæd and Uhtred this year

Binged it, enjoyed it. Drags at times. Diverged from the novels more than other seasons. That happens with all adaptations, but a few of the changes drive the story even farther from the novels. Still a good show and I will continue to watch as long as they stay true to Uhtred.

Pretty much agree with all that. Not as good as season 2 or 3 since the Mercian story really did drag as you say but still very solid. I realize they couldn’t let Uhtred accept the Mercian lordship to maintain some degree of historical accuracy, but still very hard to watch that part. Finnan’s reaction was hilarious.

I don’t know just kind of ready for Uhtred to start getting some good things to happen for him. Seems like he would have more than 5 followers at this point.

Watched E1-3 yesterday. Liking this season so far. The Dane storyline this season is a lot better without Skade.

I liked this season although as someone mentioned it’s not as good as 2 or 3 and breaks from the novels the most yet. In the past they clearly set one novel for each half season and this time they blended the 2 throughout the entire season. It doesn’t work as well and I worry it’ll result in this season being the last.

"The world needs more Cnuts" - I laughed out loud at this Haesten quote when clearly he would have liked to transpose the "n" and the "u".

I love Vikings S1-4, but I think TLK is just as good. Definitely more humor and tits with TLK, but the characters are just as likable.

Season was good, but a step below the other three, Brida can EAD!

Yeah, I was like, this is nice. Then they kept going, and going, and going....... Huh? Is this the Pornhub parody?

Not that I'm complaining......

Thought it was a great season. Great job making Aelswyth sympathetic. Great job with Stiorra. Loved the dynamic between Uhtred and young Uhtred. Really made Beocca's death feel significant.

Agree with all this. I didn't enjoy this season quite as much as the others, but thats more of a compliment to the others than a dig at S4.

Finished season 4 the other day and loved it.

Blew my mind that Aelswith and Aethelflaed are the same age IRL.

Eliza Butterworth is actually pretty hot and curvy IRL.

Just about every girl in the series, not named Brida, is fine as hell.

Is Vikings still making episodes? I need to catch up on that show I think the last season I watched was 3 when rys Meyers was fighting for Ivan the boneless but I don’t know what streaming service to watch it on now

Sorry off topic I know. Uhtred is still a badass

The second half of season 6 should be coming out later this year. I thought I read an article where they would be making another Vikings spinoff on Netflix later next year, depicting more of the Norman conquest and the end of the Viking age in England.

Finished tonight. I thought it was a very good season despite being a bit different. Loved the politics in Mercia. Not as crazy about the changes though I wasn’t bothered by them much.

What the hell happened to his youngest son, who becomes Uthred in the books? Stiorra dies birthing him in the show and he gets no mention that I saw.
