I agree his jokes fell flat. Tony made a comment before hand about golden ticket winners being promoted to regulars and he comes out with that set.

That chicks Michael Jackson joke was gold. And agreed, the first golden ticket guy’s set was piss poor. I kept waiting for the punch line and it never came. He has a real 80s Jim Carey vibe to him

I think the dude will turn it around. Seems like he tried to do too much with that set and got out over his skis. Switch to a coat and tie seemed like a bad idea right off the bat. Gotta dance with the one that brung ya in that regard,

Wheeler Walker Jr was one of the best non comedian guests I've seen. Maybe the best. HHH was good too. I don't know what Dedrick was doing with that set but it wasn't good.

Dedric and Pat seem like they under a lot of pressure to deliver week-to-week. You get a sense that being a named regular is golden-handcuffs for some people.
You never get a sense that any of it phases people like Ari and Hans Kim. Aris never bombed. Hans Kim has bombed from time to time and had his ticket put on the line a couple times but you never got a sense it phased him at all.
No Brakes might have it figured out though. Seems like he only comes on if he's got a lockdown bit put together. Probably hard to do that if you under the gun week by week.

I don't remember how long it lasted, but it seemed like Hans was bombing for the better part of a year...in 2023? I think that's when Tony started having others challenge him for his spot.
Yeah, being a regular seems tough as hell. Ari got in and got out at about the right time. But he seems to be the only one that's done it like that. Kam stayed a regular for a pretty long time but did much better than Hans IMO.

I don't seem to hate Dedrick nearly as much as other people do, I just think that even though his unhinged rambling is kind of his thing, he'd do well to cut it down a bit because he has some pretty good premises and punchlines. I thought this week was a good example with the easel jokes.
I thought Wheeler Walker sucked for the first few responses, and I think the audience did too. He was just telling pulls they sucked when the really weren't that bad. He came around though.

Kirk Fox and Tim Butterly tonight. The second Kill Tony I went to at the mothership had Kirk Fox. He was pretty good then. That was almost 3 years ago I think.

Dedrick just rambled and didn’t really put together any jokes in his set. Colm Tyrell had a funny set early on in the show.
