Never watched show. Fat is a more realistic quality than what is on most TV. BBT and Kaley Cuoco for example. That kind of girl does not hang out with goofballs and does not stay single for years.
Just like Friends and Anniston in her prime. Anniston being near perfection and and Cuoco a couple notches below.

Maybe. But my SO, most of my friends girlfriends, and most of the girls we hang out with aren't fat. And the ones that are a little chubby are much better looking that Lena. And further they are at least fun to be around. Her character is a disgusting fat slut. There's nothing normal about her. Dunham being unattractive has absolutely nothing to do with the show sucking. That needs to be clear. The characters are uninteresting and annoying, utterly selfish and vapid, and they don't really do anything.
This article is a perfect example of untalented, overrated people, Apatow included, using PC political tactics and emperors new clothes mystique to polish their huge turds.
And Lena's turds are pretty huge.

I'd bet you lots of money that if they had an attractive woman like Danny on GoT or Allison Williams or someone like that in Lena's role naked and screwing all the time alot less people would think it sucked. Granted it would still suck just as much but atleast we'd get to see some quality nudity instead the only nudity we ever see is dudes asses and that disgusting cottage cheese filled grocery bag Lena calls a body.

Isn't that the writers point with the question though?
GoT is selling sex, it's part of the show, you know why they are doing it. Wtf the frick is fat slob doing naked for no reason? Why is she throwing a fit when people ask why she is naked? If she doesn't like being called out for it, why do it?

This is the cult of her brave victimhood, and women eat that stuff up. If she was not, the shows viewers would hate her. She's brave because she's ugly and forces viewers to see her naked and we're sexists for being anything but thrilled by that.

The men on the show are far better characters and the reason I even still watch. The funny thing is, aside from Allison Williams boyfriend (who I believe isn't in the upcoming season), the men aren't conventionally"attractive" either. But they're a hell of a lot more fun to watch even in their awkwardness because they're at least likeable.
Lena Dunham is my least favorite character on the show. And her constant nakedness IMO is just taking time away from better characters on the show. I mean good for her for being that comfortable with an unconventional body (she may have the weirdest shape I've seen) but there's a difference between confidence and just being sloppy IMO.

I watch the show and like it. I know people that are like the characters on the show. I don't see why this thread is now 6 pages of mostly posts saying they don't watch the show. If there's a thread about a show I don't watch I don't feel compelled to post.
