I've never seen the show. I wasn't even aware of a show called Girls. I saw Judd Apatow and was curious.

I haven't watched it either but it isn't hard to gather from the exchange in the op that they are both asshats and it is obvious they had an agenda with her nudity and have been waiting for that question for a long time. it's exactly what they wanted

I get into arguments with people all the time about this show. I really don't like it so I'm accused of not getting it. I get it just fine; I just hate everything about it.

I get the Internet argument culture and all but there seems to be something special with this show that I've never understood. Actually the Newsroom also, people feel the need to state how they watch neither show but hate both.

i think it's more what the show represents. i haven't watched it but from the many complaints i see about it it appears to be about self entitled assholes who don't want to work. if that is an accurate depiction then it represents everything i hate about our generation, therefore, the hate is justified, especially if they glorify it.

It might have something to do with how seriously the people making the show take themselves.

But you're one of the people I'm curious about. You haven't watched this show but have posted 10+ times in this thread. If there's a thread about Chuck Lorre shows I don't comment because I don't watch them. Why do you post in this one? Serious question, not trying to be a dick.

because this thread was not about the show itself but about a response to the journalist's question.

Relating to the OP I don't think the same question gets asked if Allison Williams is naked in every episode.

And as far as the show being about assholes who don't want to work i don't think Lena's character is seen as likable, I think they have gone out of their way to show her as unlikable.

is she the hot one? if so then probably not because the reason would be clear why they were doing it. from what i gather dunham is naked at random times where nudity does not seem to be needed. her constantly wanting to be naked knowing that she isn't exactly eye candy seems to have one agenda. she wants people to negatively comment on it so she can do exactly what was done in this interview.

And Sandusky probably isn't in jail IF he didn't rape those kids.

Yeah. She's one of those people who hasn't ever had to deal with any sort of prejudice or hardship so she wants to create one so that she can be the champion of women's rights.

So it's ok to be naked on TV of you're attractive, but if you're not, you're doing it because you are fishing for negative reactions?

Just want to make sure I'm following.

That seems to be what her response was. He asked the question about her being naked so often at random times but there would be no question if it were Allison Williams. So she said it's ok if you're not into me. If Allison Williams were naked at random times the only response would be how hot she is.

as i have said i haven't watched the show but it is been said that it is a recurring thing and occurs at times where it really doesn't seem necessary. when attractive stars are made to be naked it is often to get ratings, horny guys will tune in. a scene or two with her being naked in perhaps sexual situations would seem normal but to continually do it in non sexual situations and at times where the story doesn't really require it without it being an attempt to draw ratings because she is hot, there really doesn't seem to be an alternative explanation.

It's not a question of ok. It's a question of why. You wouldn't question Dunham being naked if it's a sex scene. If she's naked in scenes that have no logical reason as to why she would be naked, it begs the question as to why she is naked.

Don't be a dummy.
