Him and Farley both were gone way way too early.

Loved every fiber of the man. My childhood was Candy.

Uncle buck, the Great outdoors, summer rental, Armed and dangerous and of course Plains, trains and Automobiles.

Y'all need to look up Candy's stuff on SCTV (Second City Television). There were some real heavy-hitters in that cast. Awesome stuff (even if it is Canadian).

Bunch of hosers.

Hell of a documentary with some huge star power. Highly recommend but get ready, it will have you in tears.

Really enjoyed this last night. Only enforced what I said earlier in this thread: I miss John Candy. I haven't seen Planes and Buck since those first came out, so I'm now planning a rewatch.

I remeber when he passed that was a sad day. Him and Farley we're both missed. Farley died a few years later and had other issues but both we're funny heavy oddballs.

I watched it last night. Really good insight into Candy the person, his life and his career. Surprisingly, it was not a tear jerker. Highly recommend it, it was really well done.

Agreed wasn't really that sad. Shed some light on his insecurities, never getting over the death of his dad, and the weight of being a people pleaser.

A family history of heart problems. His dad died at 35 of a heart attack. His brother also had one.
