Um. Because that was really fricking funny. If you can't imagine Kanye saying that and then you subsequently laughing at it because, you know, it's funny, you're just really out of touch with pop culture.

ETA: But seriously, I don't care for Jimmy. I enjoy the Timberlake shite because JT is awesome, but Fallon just doesn't do it for me.

That's just one example. Laughing too much is a problem he's had dating back to SNL.

That's fair. I hated him on SNL because he'd always break character to laugh. Like I said, I don't like him.

How has this topic gone this far with no mention of Pete Holmes? The dude has great skits and sketches but is an absolute arse kisser during interviews. Holmes once cracked up laughing and I mean bending over in laughter because the dude "Ralphie" or whoever from "The League" said, "I got so high once..."

Fallon can't control himself. He thinks he's funnier than anyone out there thinks.

I used to hate Jimmy, but now I love him. He has grown on me over the years. He's hilarious.

Count me among the Fallon supporters. I actually watch late night TV again, which hadn't been the case for many years.

I remember a pretty awkward kind of cross show interview between Kimmel and the rebooted Leno because I think Kimmel wanted to talk about the Conan situation.

Yeah, it got pretty awkward because Kimmel kept passive-aggressively lobbing obvious insults at Leno about the Conan and TS situation. It was funny, but I also gained a measure of respect for Kimmel.

Fallon is ok but his "this is going to be the greatest show ever" routine he does every night got old a few months ago. I watch Kimmel. His interviews are really good and he seems to have an insane network of friends so most of his guests talk with him like they're in a bar or are at home on their couch. Plus, his skits with Cousin Sal and Guillermo are always awesome.

eta: And Liewitness News may be the best thing on television right now.

Yeah, that has to be some of the most relentless ball busting I've seen on late night. Kimmel slaughtered him.

Leno: What's the greatest prank you ever pulled?
Kimmel: I told a guy that five years from now, I’m gonna give you my show. And then when the five years came, I gave it to him, and then I took it back almost instantly.

I'm not really a Letterman fan, but he's always been infamous for having his guests on edge because he likes asking the tough question and making them uncomfortable.

Letterman seemed to turn into a humorless bastard over the years that appears thin-skinned. I'm not sure Dave has the ability to take it if a guest one-upped him. Carson was the master of this.

I'm the same way. I won't watch it every night, but if it is around 10:30 and nothings on I'll flip over to the end of the NBC local news and watch his monologue and see who the guests are.

Fallon: Funny, knows a good gimmick when he sees one. You can see him trying.

Kimmel: Honestly funny. Not a polished performer but is naturally funny.

Conan: Has to work at it, but he can deliver. Appears to try to hard at times.

Ferguson: Doesn't care. He has his humor and if you don't get it then move on. Works his deal perfectly.

Letterman: Can turn it off and on at will. When he's on he's the best. He did his years of being wowed by big name guests. He's beyond that now.
