And I totally enjoyed it. Worthy of Seasons 1 & 2.

The other thread was terrible and gave away spoilers. How would you rank the 3 seasons?

Agreed. Just finished the last episode. This season was as good as Daredevil.

I loved season 1 and thought season 2 was terrible so I've been hesitant. Maybe I'll start it tonight.

I finished Season 3 last night, and really enjoyed it. Salenger was a great villain for this season, and did a great job making Jessica Jones question her own Heroism. I'm sad its over, but I thought the series ended very well.

I see them as a seamless garment, each season having its own strengths and weaknesses, but each entirely entertaining.

Frank Castle: kills rapists, thieves, serial killers and other criminals.

Y'all: YEEEEEEEAH! KILL'EM FRANK! MY BOOOY!

Trish Walker: kills rapists, thieves, serial killers and other criminals.

Y'all: What a bitch! She deserves to be in the Raft! fricking hate her!

I was rooting for Trish Walker to gut JJ like a fish.

JJ's sanctimonious arse has Dorthy Walker's blood on her hands because she was too much of a coward to do what it really took to stop a serial killer. JJ knew that Sallinger was going to kill again and still kept trying to be "good" and it cost an innocent woman her life.

That's why I like the Punisher. He doesn't give a shite about being "good", he just cares about stopping the real bad guys permanently and putting them under six feet of dirt.

Despite all the drinking, the non stop sarcasm, the hard arse loner act, and the emo rock star clothing and appearance, Jessica Jones is a girl scout at heart and she acted like one.

I just really don't get Netflix on this one. Trish Walker is basically Frank Castle with better reflexes and can do acrobatic tricks and yet they treated her like a villain.

Jessica should've gotten her arse handed to her here.

Season 3 was a little better than season 2, but not by much. It suffered from the same major deficiency, the villain was too personal. The only people in danger were those immediately tied to Jessica, unlike Killgrave in season 1 who was going around killing people all over the city at random. The whole city was in danger so the stakes were just much higher.

In the end the Netflix MCU goes out with a whimper.

I was surprised Kilgrave didn't come back. I figured he was going to be proto Thunderbolts and rezzed by the govt.

Trish holds a completely innocent person hostage.

Castle would have shot her in the head, rightfully so.

Trish =/= Punisher.

Also Punisher isn't awesome, he probably does deserve to go to jail, again. And he's taking down criminal organizations usually not just the rando real estate developer.

Netflix Punisher understands the dark path he's on. He also isn't some black and white beast and he gets the concept of escalation if he fricks it up or even intervenes at the wrong time.

ETA: just adding to the differences between him and trish.

The Punisher also isn't trying to tell himself that he's the good guy. He just knows the other guys need to be dealt with and nobody else can or will do it.

Yup. Doesn't view himself as a hero.

Trish does.

I get why JJ went after Trish and locked her away. I really do.

But that doesn't change the fact that she still has Dorthy Walker's blood on her hands because she knew for a fact that Sallinger was never going to stop killing; the police were powerless against him, he was being supported by a woman JJ once considered a useful ally and JJ just sat on her arse trying to preserve her conscience.

It's amazing how completely broken up she got over doing the necessary thing in permanently eliminating Kilgrave as that man was too dangerous to be left alive and there was not a single prison that could safely hold him.

It's like she values her own soul and conscience more than keeping people safe and stopping the evil monsters she claims to want to stop. A hero must be always prepared to make the necessary sacrifice and that includes everything associated with her, not just her physical life.

It's amazing how she's more afraid and hesitant to use deadly force than the average street cop.

Castle held a teenage girl hostage against her will, hands and mouth duct taped in some sleazy motel like a serial rapist

How do you think he would've reacted finding someone doing the same thing?

Never said he was awesome. Just a character who understands what he really is and who he's fighting against.

Castle would've done the same thing to crooked real estate developer too.
