Jesse Plemons has joined Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro in Killers of the Flower Moon, the big-budget thriller Martin Scorsese is directing for Apple.

The casting is a major coup for Plemons, who for years has anchored productions or stole scenes with his performances in supporting roles.

Regardless, Plemons now finds himself in a role was originally to have been played by DiCaprio before the Oscar-winner segued to a secondary lead.

Plemons will play Tom White, the lead FBI agent investigating the murders.  Lily Gladstone will play the role of Mollie Burkhart, an Osage married to Ernest Burkhart, who is nephew of a powerful local rancher. DiCaprio is the nephew while De Niro is the strong-handed rancher.

Based on the last couple of things I've seen Plemons in, he is going to weigh 400 lbs

That is one of my favorite books ever. Hyped for the movie. “Lost City of Z” was a movie from the same author

The real Tom White with J. Edgar
DiCaprio's character
DeNiro's character with wife and daughter. This guy was truly evil.

He's in Judas and the Black Messiah if you want to see what he looks like lately. Still chunky but he looks better than in El Camino. Or maybe I'm just used to what he looks like now.

Love the book and I have traveled through and to that area a lot. Great deer hunting. Beautiful grassy plains.

Can’t wait to see the movie but HATE Meth Damon!

That reminds me, what ever happened to that H.H. Holmes movie DiCaprio and Scorsese were supposed to be doing?

Scorsese showed the trailer at CinemaCon, so we may be close to seeing that.

Can’t believe fricking “Todd” is joining the ranks of serious actors and is also married to Kirsten Dunst.

Pete Davidson, eat your heart out.

I remember he had the small part in the irishman playing the union guys son. He beat the shite out of the guy who tried to shoot his dad in court.

Sucks that it's on apple but yeah good for him

They decided after years of development hell to bring it to Hulu as a series. Then the director and Keanu Reeves backed out, and Hulu eventually killed the project earlier this year. No clue what the issues were, but it sucks because I was really looking forward to it finally happening.

I'm still interested in Killers of the Flower Moon though. It's a fascinating story for those unfamiliar. If anyone is interested, the Most Notorious podcast interviewed the author of the book a few years ago.

He’s one of the top character actors in Hollywood right now. He’s filled a bit of a PSH void and has been in everything the last few years including The Irishman
