Gotcha. I wish I had driven down to the shore once or twice. Unfortunately, I wasn't around the area at all in the summer.
Oxford to Jersey is a hell of a trip, but I really want a chance to absorb some Guido culture, now.

As a fan of American soccer, I'd probably kill myself with all of the faux-Italian Pride in Joisey. I'm sure Giuseppe Rossi is a god to Pauly D, Vinny and the situation.
My future plot prediction:
Vinny gets called out for being educated and slightly more morally conscious than the others.

Ah damn I forgot about that. He will at least say something that gets him called a pussy or the above prediction will still happen.

ok so i talked to my manager tonight, and he is an italian american from the city, but not a guido
he had some things to say about it
1 - the house they stay in, is nicer than any other house on that beach. said that all those houses are are buildings with beds to sleep in
2 - said that you dont ever stay in the house bc you are always out getting wasted. there are bars there where everything is 1 dollar
3 - said it can be fun as shite, and yes, everyone does pump their fists
4 - that you really dont pump your own gas in new jersey, and that you arent expected to tip. my kind of place

But do they play good electro music or just stuff like "Everytime We Touch". I am guessing the latter.
One of the benefits of Miami is the music. Also, I think Eastern European chicks on mollies are very hot.

I was just coming to post this. He thinks "The Situation" looks like a guido Derek Jeter.

Guido hater? Not in the least. I am endlessly entertained by that whole culture. Thus why I love this show (and the Tommy Cheesebolls True Life).
You got any stories from teh Jersey Shore to tell?

BTW, Bill Simmons talked about this for like an hour on his podcast. Here is the link.
I'm listening to it now.
Simmons calls The Situation one of the 5 or 6 top characters in MTV history.

It's almost an hour long, but the Guido talk is only about 39 or so minutes of it.
Oh, and I definitely emailed Bill Simmons about this thread, so hopefully he actually reads it and mentions it, or at best signs up and joins in with us and our homage to potentially the greatest show in MTV history.
