I was a book 2 reading Davos level when the RW aired but I know everything that is happening through book 5 because I accidentally clocked on A Wiki Of Ice and Fire last summer
. I didn't get around to reading the books until April but I think they bring extra depth to what the show can't do. Plus, they're entertaining me until season 4 starts. Once I finish ADWD, I'm going to read the Dunk & Egg books which are supposed to give a lot of cool background info about the GoT world circa 100 years before the current events taking place.

Were you a Hodor too and if so, how did you view it? If you knew the outcome already, how did you react?

Easily the best currently running series. The real test will come when the show gets into the book 4 material. So far the series has been as good or possibly even better than the books.

I think they'll start some of Book 4 during this season.

I'm going to do a re-read of books 4 and 5 right before school starts back up. I've never read them together like many here have.

My Sunday nights are about to get busy again.
Dexter starts this Sunday.
Along with Ray Donavan.
News Room starts July 14th
Then Breaking Bad on August 11th
Those should carry me into Homeland.
Then Walking Dea....
Then it'll be a long 3-4 months until GoT Season 4.
I just need a premium network show that runs from January to march to fill the gap. I'm covered 9/12 months of the year.

So how do people read AFFC and ADWD together? Do they read 1 AFFC point of view chapter, then switch to 1 ADWD point of view chapter, and continue to alternate until the books end??

If you're looking for a show to watch from January-until GOT starts, watch The Americans on FX. I did that this past year and it helped fill my TV void until GOT started and then I finished watching it when it ended in May.

Like this
i retitled the audiobook tracks to flow in this order and it was infinitely better than my first read-through of the two books

You can also watch a comedy like the following. It's a decent time killer.

I wish I had watched it when it aired. I hear so many great things. I'll def do that when the second season comes around. Woohoo! I'm set year round with quality TV shows!

Thanks! I will definitely do that when I finish ASoS.

Manwich, can you repost that Hodor iPhone clip you made? I want to show it to my Hodor friend who just finished season 3 and needs hope in this world lol.
