agreed. i thought Shannon was an awesome Zod. great intensity.

this board is pretty funny reaction wise. basically Marvel is flawless while absolutely anything DC does is a pile of shite. odd.

I'm confused why a subtitle is even needed.

For real?

You must've been near the Great Ron Bennington at some point too because he mentioned that he saw him today. With a to go food box in his hand!

You were near where they were filming the Today Show right?

Yea. We happened to stumble upon Access Hollywood Live so we were all up in that. I stepped away to smoke and he was coming to NBC studios apparently. Nobody even knew who he was except me.

Bonus story: Got to see Letterman Monday night. 5th row.

And Ronnie said "And Michael Shannon's walking through the Today Show crowd and none of those rubes even noticed him"

Congrats Box. It's been confirmed. You're no rube.

If WB does end up screwing this and the JL movies up, I'll just pretend that the only live action DC universe is the one currently being created on the CW. At least those showrunners know how to properly create a live action comic universe. Hell if the folks at WB were smart they'd go ahead and kick Snyder to the curb before he has a chance to screw things up, and just hand the movie reigns over to Berlanti, Guggenheim, and Kreisberg and let them create the movie universe.

i see virtually no reason to hate on this movie at this point. car looks good, suit looks good. this has potential to be a pretty damn entertaining flick.

You know Berlanti was a producer on that Green Lantern movie...

I am not denying that silly costumes exist in the Marvel world.

But I am not really to excited to watch Batman and Superman eat up all the screen time while these jokers save the world.

And this is them looking serious.

and this is the Avengers looking serious while going up against the very serious looking Loki.

they look pretty serious here too!

man, look how pissed Hawkeye is here! Don't mess with that guy! He's serious!

Not at all.

Warner Bros has to get this thing off the ground somehow. Superman could barely carry his own franchise.

Sure. You aren't trolling but you'll say Superman can't carry his own franchise. Never mind that there have been six Superman movies and two Superman tv shows since Christopher Reeve first suited up.

It's easy to imagine execs sitting around a table, giving each other high fives over that cheesy arse subtitle.

Over Reaction much?

Oh and Link?

People shat consistently on IM2 and 3, Spider-Man 3, Thor Dark World, The First Avenger, Incredible Hulk, No one talks about ASM/ASM2. Please. And plenty were genuinely excited about MoS, too bad it couldn't live up to that.

And all of the Nolan movies are highly praised around here, even the sham that is TDKR.

It's just this ONE movie that most choices have been odd.. the BvS angle, WW casting, Luthor Casting, Goyer's continued involvement etc.

I mean it's kind of hokey, but comics books are (therefore it doesn't fit the MoS tone, but whatever). But it's fine.

Titles don't mean much in the grand scheme of things.

Pal, just remember, for some of us, Man of Steel DID live up to its hype. I know you left the theater with a "meh" reaction, but I saw it twice in the theaters and really dug it both times.

Yeah comic covers from the 60's is a fair comparison.

If Superman could carry his own franchise, we wouldn't be rebooting it seven years later and bringing in Batman for that sequel.
