Or do people really love the hell out of Chanel West Coast, Rob Dyrdek, and Steelo Brim?

This is a normal schedule for them.

It's probably better than anything else they have to show.
Season 48 of the challenge?
Catfished?
Music videos?

Newsflash:
The Simpsons, SNL, and MTV are all dead.
You can stop praying to God that they'll make a full recovery. The doctor has called time of death, they've harvested the organs for donation, the grave has been dug, the casket has been laid, and everyone has gone home.

Contract probably pays him $0.01/hour of programming. Would be a good deal for both sides.

Mtv died back in like 2002 or 2003.

MTV is what the fall of Western Civilization looks like.

If anything, if you have older parents that are still clinging to their cable boxes rather than switching to streaming, show them this schedule (also show them TruTV's weeklong marathons of Impractical Jokers) and ask them if they are getting their money's worth from their cable/satellite bills?

I’m not trying to sound like an a-hole but when was the last time you actually sat and watched a couple of hours of music videos?
NEVER!
People bitch about them getting rid of music videos but what the frick do you expect them to do? Just play music videos on loop all day with zero listeners?

Maybe a little more variety of programming wouldn’t be too much to ask.
And really the internet killed MTV.

Someone posted this a while back, and there was FAR LESS things other than Ridiculousness. Like it was a week of that show and maybe like one or two others. At least this one has different shows on it, and some movies.
The best day of Rob Dyrdek’s life was when he walked into the MTV offices for the first time.

If I want to watch certain music videos like Metallica's "One" video, I'll watch it on YouTube. The problem with music videos in general is that they became cookie-cutter promotional shorts for bubblegum pops songs in the late 90s. They became throwaway parts of pop culture. People lost interest in them.

When I'm working from home I'll fire up the YouTubes and stream music on the TV and every now and then there is a classic video that pops up and I'll take a break to watch it.
And yes, MTV is the movie Idiocracy. Wow.

The only reason MTV is still a channel is because these companies force you to pay for a package of all of channels instead of the ones people actually want.
This, and may other channels, need to die.

You can't kill what's already dead.

If they want to show that much Rob Dyrdek, at least re-run Rob & Big some.

There was also a pinch of creativity involved, going all the way back to the Buggles' "Video Killed The Radio Star."
Hell, David Fincher directed Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" video and added more visual creativity than that song deserved.
Music videos got REALLY experimental with R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion."

Today's woke culture would not appreciate "Hot for Teacher".
