Is there an app/service that maintains all of your streaming services that you're sucribed
to? I feel like it's getting a bit overwhelming...Youtube TV, Netflix, Prime, Disney+, HBO Max, Discovery+, Peacock(ad free subscription), Paramount+

YouTube TV handles HBO Max but it seems like there is now an opportunity for someone to come in and organize the clutter

ETA: forgot Apple+

Would be nice to have it all in one place where it funnels through one source and it all comes out at once instead of having to update 20 different services every time you get a new card for whatever reason

If you're talking about one app that would pull in all the shows/movies/content from the various streaming services and provide it in one place with a good UI that's a fantastic idea.

Do you have a smart TV? That managers all my apps in one location.

But yes, if I get a new CC number I have to change the account info. But that only happens once every 4 years or so

Google TV does that on my phone. I search for something and it shows what service it is on that I subscribe to.

Just like cable companies, and then we will have come full circle.

...and Roku, and Cox Contour will pull from Amazon, Peacock, Tubi, and some other apps when you do a voice search.

I predicted this 5 years ago and I’ll say it again.

There will eventually be so many platforms that some company will come along and say “hey, pay us $120 a month and we will give you access to absolutely everything”

Back to square 1.

Amazing the circle this has become and we're nearly complete.

You give people what they asked for and they're still not happy.

By the way, part of the "problem" is the increased amount of content. People complain that they have to get a new app to watch new content, but that content wouldn't exist without that app.

Yeah I get into this argument every time with people they pretend like just because there’s a lot of services out there that they HAVE to get that service and have to pay it every month

The beauty of streaming services/a la carte model is you can pick whatever services you want and cancel anytime you want. They constantly have to compete with your business. The consumer wins.

It'll subside a bit. Look at HBO. They combined the two HBO apps, DC Universe, TCM, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, and prevented a separate Studio Ghibli app. The sports networks have moved from having multiple apps to combining them. Disney+ could pull ABC and some of ESPN into their tent.

I'd guess we'll see apps combined like that in the future, as they see which smaller apps can't pay their own way.

Roku does allow you to search a show/movie and itll show up if it is available on anything. If its an app you have it pulls right up to the show

Here's a thought, go back to satellite if you don't like having all those apps.

Or, get rid of all the apps, and only have a couple. I'm rocking with just Netflix and Amazon Prime. Easy Peasy.

Considering that is literally what cable/satellite does, you would think they would add a premium to their fee?
