Oh look, another idiot with an intentionally dense response. Clearly I’m not talking about the bifrost. I’m a huge fan of all of the marvel movies, hell Ragnarok is one of my favorites. To deny the intentional virtue signaling is disingenuous.

Little girls like rainbows and tinsel.

In fact the whole joke is that Thor is like a normal dad who’s little girls decorates his things all pink and sparkly to his chagrin.

It’s far and away the dumbest example you could have possibly picked.

Natalie Portman, the lead character, said it’s the gayest Marvel movie yet in part because of the rainbows

That was 1) her trying to appease the gay dude interviewing her, she didn't bring it up and kind of laughed while answering and 2) neither of them knowing source material. Because the bridge in the comics is rainbow colored. Not sure if it stayed that way forever in the comics but they clearly had no idea it was that way.

It's Bifrost, the RAINBOW bridge (which is what it is called in Norse mythology). It's been a rainbow in the comics since its first appearance.

It's not going to suddenly be in grayscale.

Some folks see legitimate issues with woke culture, but others just want to cry woke at everything.

Same people see a single father playing their daughter and being a good dad, but by picking up that doll or letting their daughter do their hair are now "gay".

In Ragnarok Korg literally mentions his “mum” and “her” boyfriend.

Did his species suddenly change to male only betweeen ragnarok and love and thunder?

There's never been an answer on this, but most think Taika either didn't know or just forgot in Ragnarok. Kronan's have been around since the early 60's and have always been just males.

Wut? Can't say I've ever seen a father playing with his daughter be labelled as "gay"

Considering this is the first Kronan we see in the MCU:

And then we get Korg:

Other than "made of rocks", they don't even look much alike, but the MCU identifies them both as Kronan. The only thing all Kronan have in common (both in comics and in the MCU) is that they are all masculine.

Also, Korg could have had an adoptive mother from another alien species - he's the only Kronan we see on Sakaar.

The comic version of Korg makes mention of only one parent, Ahna, and then only in a single line without context of gender, parental role, or whatever. Korg lists the names Ahna and O-Korg as parents, and that's literally as close as we get to any information on the subject matter. One sentence when Korg forms the Warbound.

Just watched, don’t get the hate for this one. A little too campy early but overall enjoyable

I just watched it a second time with my wife, her first time. She really enjoyed it, as did I. Liked it more the second time around.

I’m coming to realize this is a board increasingly dominated by people that have nothing positive in their actual lives so their goal is to make everyone’s experience that doesn’t reflect that as miserable as their actual lives are.

Seems like any Marvel movie that isn't the culmination of a decade of interconnected storytelling is the worst thing ever.

Just like most MCU movies, this was enjoyably fine.

I just got done watching it on D+ and it just felt stupid. Even ignoring all the gay stuff, the comedy just felt like a charecature of itself.

Skipped this at the theater, finally watched it this morning. Once the movie stops with the forced and corny jokes and gets serious, it's a decent movie. The last half of it I enjoyed. Getting rid of the gay shite would have gone far to make it a better movie as well.

Disliking anything Disney is the popular thing right now, and this board is filled with miserable fricks. So I’m not surprised.

I wouldn't say enjoyably. It had some cool parts, but overall it's a miss. I hated the whole "new Asgard" thing where it's a tourist attraction. With the tone, they were all over the place.

I liked the Jane story enough. I didn't like Zeus at all. The movie went way too heavy on the camp that it took you out of the serious parts. I didn't understand the whole Thor and kid thing at the end. It was silly. Sure it was cool for Hemsworth, but didn't really feel like it fit.
