My wife and I got hooked on this show because of this thread. Kady is a count from hell for saying, “you make me not want to have kids.” There is nothing worse you can say to a man!

Yeah there was definitely another side of Kaci that wasn’t shown on the show — controlling and manipulative. She turned on the fake tears to try to make Evan feel guilty but when it didn’t work she went back back to angry bitch mode and her face was totally dry

Evan was a douche though, that engagement in the frickin cheap arse restaurant was more like something to send a slap in the face Kaci than anything. Those two will end up divorced if they even make it to marriage.
Good for John for throwing that bitch Kady out, that bitch still didn't have any remorse for what she did, he still seemed messed up about it.

Yeah, that's what I was saying to Mrs. Vox as it was going down. While Evan was telling her he was done, she kept saying "Damn, he's good. He just got her to apologize for the relationship, accept that he fricked another girl, AND beg for him to take her back."
My counter was that he looked like a man who was confronting a demon that had stalked his life to that point. There's definitely more to that story about their past.

Agree 100%. She is off her rocker a good bit, and Evan looks defeated during that conversation. He looks like a defeated man who was finally given a chance to make a move since he didn’t pull the trigger years ago.
When she flipped the switch and turned bitch you could see it.
And I am surprised John left the island alone. But of course he goes home and wants to try with Kady. I kinda called that. And she was like can you watch my animals while I go visit Johnny. Hahaa. What an idiot.
He’s stupid for not trying to legit date Katherine though.
Good for Javen and Shari. I like how they made it seem like she was gonna leave though. But shocked that out of all the couples they were the strongest.
I’ll be watching next season for sure. This one was good.

He definitely looked like he has major issues from something when he started crying to her family in his video. Did he have family, I can't remember? There is definitely something more to his story that we didn't get a chance to see.
Kaci tried to show she was moving on in her video, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was suicide attempts or something. She looked completely fricking mental in the vid and like her parents had to step in to help big time.

I was actually very excited to see Kaci get her heart broken until it went on like 10 minutes, then I felt kinda bad. She's hideous and nuts but still, kinda tough to watch.
Evan is an idiot but he's not unlikable. Just immature. Kinda shocked the girl has kept him around post-show.
John dodged a bullet. My wife is acquaintances with him which is why we watched the show. His ex was white trashy hot and will age poorly (in addition to being a narcissistic bitch and all around bad person). That little after party for John was depressing though.

IIRC, Evan's dad was cheating on his mom, and the mistress murdered his dad.

Javen seemed like such a nice person. He enjoyed his time but remained faithful. His girl was a bitch to him that seemed to grow from the experience so good for her.
Kady is a count who wants a guy with money. Based on the video of Johns backyard bbq he does not have money at all. He also seems like a good person who deserves better but didn’t find love on the show because he didn’t try.
Walking away from a show like this in a new relationship just seems tough due to the circumstances and the probable long distance you’ll deal with.
Evan however found someone who he wanted to be with. Kacy is as crazy as they come and she needs lots of therapy. She has crazy issues and is a desperate chick who has a fear of being alone. I told my wife that her clip 6 months later was sad. The girls she was with almost felt staged as if they weren’t even her friends. Then she is hanging out with her parents who look like they have issues too. Evan might have demons but I believe he just wasn’t in love with her like she was. He cared about her deeply but it stopped there and this show helped him see that. Love isn’t just feelings for someone.

ok I'll admit to watching after Smackdown each week
after episode 1... I would've bet good money on Javen & Shari breaking up... not getting engaged in the season finale
and Evan definitely upgraded to forever-material with Morgan... I felt bad for both Evan & Kaci all the way through once it became apparent that Evan got hit by that "lightning bolt" Mark talked about Ep. 1... but then Kaci's actions in the season finale just proved that Evan made the right move so good on him... was happy for him at the end of it
