Okay I looked it up. Yeah, unisex saunas exist in Germany and the Netherlands. You're not allowed to wear any clothes in them so men and women are naked together. I stayed at a Hilton in Cologne who's gym had warning signs about this for the sauna room.
Again, they're not weird about nudity like Americans so the movie probably took a page from this.
