Not much hype around this one it seems

Was worried with the January release they were dumping a stinker but the reviews got me pumped again

slight SPOILER

read a review that there are hardly any infected in this one so I'm expecting it to be just as polarizing as the first

The prior movie left me with a very bad taste in my mouth so no desire to see this. There was a portion of the prior movie that was very good. With Finnes and the mother and setting the skull. The rest of the movie was a mess

I liked the last one so I'll be watching, but I'm skeptical about all this over the top praise. It seems like critics are being overly nice for the director Nia Dacosta. JMHO

Absolutely. Boyle and Garland are magic together.

Boyle isn't directing this one (Nia DaCosta is) but Boyle still wrote it and Garland will return to direct part 3 along with Murphy.

and for anyone who doesn't know i suggest looking up who Jimmy Savile is as that is who The Jimmy's are modeled after. Since the first movie takes place in 2002 and the stuff about Jimmy didn't come out until 2012 no on in the movie knows how bad of a guy he was.

it couldn't possibly be a fantastic script from Garland...

Not excited, but I will check it out if I hear good things about it. The first one was decent. I hated the Adidas track suit ending though, and it gave me low hopes for this one. So I hope it's better than I was expecting after finishing the first one.

Savile was a despicable piece of shite and hope he is paying for it in the afterlife

I don't know. She had Hedda released in the fall. It was good and featured a notable Tessa Thompson performance, but was politely ignored by critics.

I would have assumed critics would be waiting to chow down on negativity with no Boyle behind the camera.

I'm excited. I liked its prequel. Wasn't amazing but it was still good.

Good. It is 28 years later. Either everyone should be infected or almost nobody should be.

Just got out. I loved it. It’s twisted as frick and the reports are true about this one not involving the infected much. It felt like it was made to take a real shot at Jimmy Saville and they did it well by incorporating it into this world. Music is top notch as well. There’s an Iron Maiden scene that’s nuts . Can’t wait for 3

They go in kinda a unique direction in terms of seeing things through the zombies eyes. I won’t say anymore as to not spoil, but I think it will be expanded upon in the 3rd

28 Years Later was one of my favorites from last year. This was one was just as good, if not better. O’Connell played a great villain but Fiennes stole the show. It will be a longer wait for Part 3. It is nice knowing it is confirmed though.

The movie was a fun time. Excited for what they set up for the next one from the Alpha development and the return of another character that popped up at the end of the movie. The Black Sabboth scene was a ton of fun

Rotten tomatoes is an absolutely meaningless site now. They gave fricking She-Hulk a score of 80%. That was easily one of the worst shows I’ve ever seen. Absolutely awful in both acting and directing.

Drinker liked it for what it's worth. Praised O'Connel's role. He really did steal every scene he was in

Not really. How many times can they recycle the same story told in just about every other post apocalyptic zombie movie or series?
