Yeah I find most of that era to be overrated.
Deerhunter, Midnight Cowboy, Chinatown, Taxi Driver, French Connection, The Conversation and a lot other praised films from the late 60s early 70s are just boring as shite to me and I think people just say they like them bc they are supposed to. I just don't like the style, although I know I'm in the VAST minority on this.
For the record, I DO NOT include Godfather in that category, however.

Armageddon is the worst piece of shite I have ever had to sit through. Honestly felt stupider after seeing it. Just totally insulting to human intelligence.
