"The Maw" was a very good character, hated how they killed him off too soon imo. My main deal was how disposable they made the Order. Really bothers me that they didnt even say their names other than Maw.
All true, and they didn't even saw Ebon Maw, just Maw. Corvus got his name spoken too. But that was it. No Proxima Midnight and no Cull Obsidian.

I never heard Corvus mentioned, but you would never known he and Proxima were married and Cull Obsidian was his brother if you didnt read the comics. Like no mourn or yell when Proxima Midnight was killed ect. Its a small nitpic, Im just a big fan of the Order

And Cull had the lamest death, sadly. Marvel does love the "place the rocket booster on the enemy" meme.

Yep, did the same with Gamora in GOTG1

The fight on Titan was awesome. Tony vs thanos was incredible. I loved how he told Tony he had his respect

I really like the theory that Peter was the only one to feel agony because of his spidey senses kicking in

What I went in expecting.....

My favorite scene is the beginning of the major fight in Wakanda.
Tchalla leading his soldiers in the chant. I don't know what they were saying, or what it meant. But all I know is it had me ready to go to war right along with them.
Also Tchalla and Cap sprinting like 40 yards in front of everyone. They are both true leaders who are not afraid to be the example and fight on the front lines. They belong on the same team together.
I also love the badass they have turned Thor into since Ragnorak. I think there is no question anymore about who the strongest Avenger is.

Did anyone catch a quick glimpse of the scarecrow in the final scene? Brief moment, but it was a cool nod to the comics storyline of Thanos' attempt to enjoy life after the Snap.

Yeah man, looked like he was just chillin on the porch watching the sun rise, with a look of accomplishment on his face.
I really liked how they went deep into Thanos motives for doing what he did and how he honestly felt he was doing what was best for the galaxy by bringing balance. So that it did not suffer the same fate as his home planet.

I thought Brolin played Thanos far better than anyone could have ever expected and gave one of the better villain (especially animated) performances in recent memory.
They humanized him and Brolin played that extreme well. There was a sense of loss in his voice almost the whole time and it worked incredibly well..
I know they left out the "death" plot in his story and they also didn't say that Titan was a moon in our universe, but they made a very memorable and fantastic big bad for the film.
His angle in the story is the main reason I want to see the film again.
Thanos is fascinating because despite being by far the most terrifying villain in this universe, he isn't "evil". He's doing what he genuinely feels is necessary to save the universe and seems at least somewhat conflicted along the way.
And IMO the Mistress Death aspect would have played out very poorly on screen. There's just not a great way to do that.

Was a perfect end to the film honestly. Loved it.

I don't think they can quite pull off figures like Eternity and Mistress Death, etc. Not on film; too existential. Way beyond the scope of these films, IMO.
And I was wondering if Hela was going to be converted to Death (since she sort of was, in Ragnarok)... but that would have cheapened Thanos way too much.
The way they did it was perfect. He's all alone at his level, as most powerful being in the universe.

Yup. Although the Gamora scene at the end was a nod to that. I don't know if they'll do anything with it, but I like the idea of balance over Death.

It's exactly what was done with Anakin Skywalker except Anakin had the luxury of being a beloved protagonist before he turned, and even in the prequels they didn't detail his turn very well IMO.
But Thanos is walking a path similar to Anakin "I'm here to bring balance to the force!"

Avengers: The Leftovers
Or maybe just, "Marvels Avengers" considering the only people left are the first and original Avengers from the first movie. You know that was done on purpose, and a reminder that Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye are the main characters of this franchise, and they will get their curtain call.
I thought the movie was awesome. Love what they have done with Thor. Didn't understand Hulk being a pussy. I guess they did that to drive home the point of how badass Thanos is.
I thought I was ready for someone major to die, but when Tony got stabbed I felt my heart drop.
Sucks if that was the end of Loki. Obviously all the vanished people will return. Red skull was a nice surprise, but not sure what his future might be. Would love to have him back.
It's going to be a long year waiting for part 2.

They've really come around with him as the power scaling was really messed up in the beginning.
You had cap going from almost completely useless in avengers 1 to showing real power in winter soldier which carried over to civil war.
Thor almost never really exploded with power, but I'd say he finally got scaled correctly.
Leave it to the Russos to correct both cap and Thor.
