Indiana Jones is an arse, and Belloq was misunderstood

1. An archaeologist finds the Cross of Coronado in some cave, and Indy immediately steals it so he can sell it to a museum. After a long chase where Indy trespasses onto and damages a train, the local sheriff returns the cross to its rightful owner who decides not to press charges against him. How does Indy respond? He steals the cross again several decades later and kills the owner and several others in the process. The owner clearly had a passion and love for the cross as evidenced by his boat's name.
2. Indy goes into a historic Mayan temple and steals a sacred statue while destroying the temple in the process. He steals the statue so he can sell it to his friend's museum. The Mayans are understandably pissed Indy stole their sacred statue and destroyed the temple.
3. Belloq returns the statue to the Mayans who still worship it instead of letting Indy keep it so he can sell it to his friend's museum. Later, it's shown that he's working with the Nazis to find the ark. So what? He treated prisoners well and didn't injure or kill anyone. He just wanted to find one of the greatest and most sacred artifacts in the world. So did Indy who had the chance to blow up the ark but chose not to. This makes Indy just as culpable to the Nazis as Belloq. He even exposed the Nazis to some Jewish culture before opening the ark. Maybe this lessened the anti-Semitism in some of the soldiers before they were all mercilessly killed shortly afterwards.
After all this, somehow Belloq the bad guy and Indy is the good guy.

No he didn't. He used it to get them to try and kill Indy. He had no intentions of letting them keep the thing.

Have you ever heard the theory that DANIEL LARUSSO was the bad guy?!?!? It's crazy if you think about it!

This is an awful theory. Like really bad.

Belloq went over his employer’s his head and attempted to use the power of The Ark just to satisfy his own curiosity and personal gain after Indy told him it was a bad idea and caused the death of himself and several young German soldiers who were doing nothing more than following orders. Wives lost husband and children lost fathers because of Belloq’s arrogance.

Indy does some stupid shite, but nothing as shitty as this theory of yours

It was mentioned on big bang theory once, but you could completely remove Indiana Jones from Raiders of the lost ark and had the exact same conclusion. Ultimately, Jones still loses. And no matter what, Belloq was going to open the ark. Jones didn't stop him from doing this.
The only thing that may have changed was the location of the ark in a US Warehouse covered by "Top Men".

And he also had sex with a 14 year old girl when he was like 30. According to the novel and Lucas and Marion in the movie says "What you did to me and my life...I was a child, it was wrong and you knew it!"
And Indy says: "I did what I did, you don't have to be happy about it."

First of all, lady...You call him Dr. Jones!!!!!!
Second, this is a bit of a stretch. Dr Jones was a shitty archaeologist who destroyed more ancient structures and artifacts than he studied or preserved, but he kicked the snot out of Nazis and Thuggee cultists.
As much as I want him to have kicked the snot out of Commies, I pretend the Crystal Cave never happened. Kind of like any Star Wars movies made after 1983, with the exception of Rogue One.
Belloq was a slimy, Nazi collaborating bitch.
