NO SPOILERS
*past season two episode 12.
The episode coming up is where Odama and the chick admiral call a hit list on each other.

So I've been watching for a while now bc 1. It takes me forever to watch a series and 2. It's been kind of meh so far.

I've been pretty disappointed so far, but these last few episodes have stepped it up a notch. Up until now the two main characters, Odama and Madam President, have put me to sleep. Show some freaking emotion good lord. "Mr Writer we made Odoma and the President interesting." "Good! Now make them boring" seems to be the way it went.

Gaius is awesome though. And Halo. Grace Park is hot too. McDonald's coffee would be hot too I guess if she wasn't spittin tobacco and scatchin her penis in every scene. She scares me.

Anyway, mthats my thoughts so far. What am I in for? When does it hit its peak or am I past that and need to stop?

There's not really a peak, there are peaks and valleys. Season 1 is nothing short of brilliant. 2 drags a bit. 3 is quite great. 4 is a show trying to wrap itself up.

If you haven't enjoyed it so far, I'm going to assume you probably won't enjoy it the rest of the way, especially if you weren't interested in the Pegasus arc, which is one fo the better storylines.

BUT, Everything changes in the last episode of Season 3. So there's that. The show takes a significant step forward in story.

BSG, more so than Lost, the other major sci-fi at the time, is a show about characters. The situation doesn't change THAT much, they are always on the run from cylons, it's about watching the results there of.

If you haven't found Adama or Baltar compeltely enthralling (or Roslin, or Apollo, or Starbuck, or Helo, or Anders) and really fun to watch, then yeah, it might a long series for you.

Well Pegasus story line is what's happening now. They just came on in the past few episodes; the middle of season two. That's what liked the most.

I'm sure I'll keep going but knowing that you think season one was brilliant is a little disappointing.

I had a feeling I was spelling pretty much every characters name wrong

I think you'll enjoy Season 3.

Kobol? 33? The Prison episode? How are they not brilliant, that's pretty much the going belief around here, not just me.

As I said, Season 2, until Pegasus is slow. Then it stays tight until the end of the Season with the Season Finale being very very excellent. COme back and post when you watch it.

33 Minutes where they had only 33 minutes to leave every time they jumped?

Best single Hour of Television ever.

Ahhh.

Whoa, I might need to rewatch that one

My memory is so terrible and it takes me a while to finish a season makes it hard (HEY O) to recall past episodes in detail. Sucks. Stupid seizures and cyst.

knowing that you didn't think season 1 was brilliant is a lot disappointing

season 1 and 2 are by far the best imo. the first 5 episodes of season 3 has the best arc of the series though. if you aren't wowed by BSG by where you are now then I don't think it is for you

It took me a second to figure out who you were talking about, but then I d. I agree. Hated her in everything I've seen her in. BSG, 24. She was perfectly cast as the drug addict that Demamp wants to take to Karl's wedding in Workaholics. Surely she's sucking dick for crack right now or in the near future.

Maybe that's a bit too harsh, but I can't stand her. I mean, how did she even get that job in the last season of 24? Ridiculous. And I want to punch Lee Adama in the dick every time I see him chasing her and tell him how fricking stupid he is.

Kara Thrice is a one of the worst characters of all time. I love BSG one of my all tie favs but I hate her with the fire of a thousand suns

What's with all the Thrace hate? I thought she worked really well with the show. Her character was supposed to annoy the crap out of you.

At a few points, she was forced into roles that would have been better fits for other characters, but for the most part they got her self-destruction storylines spot on.

Also, "Flesh and Bone," was another great Season 1 episode that revolved around her.

The original Starbuck was definitely superior.

Is it a common thing on this board to continue watching shows you do not like?

There are a number of shows that consistently get high praise. So it encourages people to give them a shot. That's how this was for me so I'm going to try and stick it out for the shot of it getting better.
