What I read its all over the place and hard to follow.
"unpredictable, if uneven, screenplay that is all over the map"
" it is some of the biggest clusterfricks I've seen in god knows how long"
"I watched it a couple weeks back. It’s god awful"
" I had so much fun with it, but it’s a proper messy film. Gerard butler was so funny and Momoa too. From my view the first hour stands quite well by itself but then as Lattanzio said the flashbacks really mess it up even more, but still I had so much fun."

Gal Gadot really is one of the worst actresses ever. Smoke show, but yeesh her acting is bad even in trailers.

Schnabel movies are often weird and "slow," and the children rating movies in IMDb only have the patience for super heroes and Nolan.
I have not seen this yet, but it has been available online to those who are curious enough since the fall of last year. I have one buddy who loves it. I am hesitant.

my understanding (from a synopsis of the book, I have it on my shelf to read) Isaac plays both Dante Aligheri (color flashbacks) and the author of the book in a contemporary mob caper (black and white)…so it’s two plots concurrently

Love my Dante but this looks kind of messy. I’ll give it a shot though.
