In honor of Mother's Day

Who are some of the best movie mothers? I thought a long time about this and kind of came up blank. Donna Reed in It's a Wonderful Life and Greer Garson in Mrs. Miniver were the first ones I could come up with. Sally Field in Forrest Gump is an okay choice, I guess. Maybe women really are only portrayed as love interests or bitches.

I can actually think of a ton of bad or crazy mothers. Good ones are harder to come by.

The mother from A Christmas Story was pretty top notch. Aside from mistakenly ratting out Ralphie's friend for cursing, she was alright.

She never complains.
But best movie character as a Mother good or bad?

Her children really potrayed Joan Crawford as a monster.
