I figured as much. I haven't seen much of Larry David on screen, but the look makes it pretty obvious. Plus, I'm at the episode where Jerry and George sit and start trying to write their pilot. I just imagined Larry and Jerry siting down going through the same process. I'll probably watch Curb Your Enthusiasm after I finish Seinfeld.

Elaine's conversation with Jerry (and then Kramer) after her date with Jerry's friend who "took it out" should be shown to every actress in order to teach them comedic timing.
Oh, and Jerry's best moment.

So far my favorite scene has been Jerry and Kramer talking about how when a guy goes in a coma, his possessions are up for grabs after 24 hours. Then later in the episode Jerry tells George that if he ever goes in a coma to put all of his stuff in storage. LINK "Nothing left!"

i was scanning thru youtube and saw mentions of Seinfeld reunion.
The last season of Curb Your Enthusiasm centered around a Seinfeld reunion, in which they updated the Seinfeld storylines and had new Seinfeld scenes here and there.

Elaine was my favorite character on the show (not that I didn't love George and Kramer too). I'd watch JLD in pretty much anything she does.

He hasn't had near the success that JLD has. Not even close.
And if you had been referring to his success, and not the very existence of his acting talent, that might be relevant.

The difference being that JLD has succeeded in everything that she's tried since Seinfeld
I guess you don't remember Watching Ellie. That one bombed.

To me the more salient point is: the talent of the lead isn't the only reason a TV show can fricking fail. Otherwise we'd be on the thirteenth season of Andy Richter Controls the Universe by now.

It's so funny how Jerry and Elaine are dating someone new every episode and manage to frick it up every episode.

Awesome! I can't wait to hear your thoughts after you finish the series.
At this point you can clearly see the difference in the first 2 or 3 seasons and where you are now. It's like a completely different show. Those first few seasons have some REAL duds that aren't even worth talking about. But once it finds its legs there truly aren't any down episodes. It just keeps getting better. I'm looking at all the episodes from seasons 8 and 9 and it just blows me away all the top tier episodes you still have yet to see. I'm excited for you.
Also just as an aside, the series finale was watched by 76Million+ people, good for the 5th most watched TV episode of all time (and 20million more than 6th place, the finale of friends).

Reminds of a quote from Elaine in the episode where Jerry starts letting his emotions out. "Jerry you break up with a different girl every week"

I just can't get into it, I've tried.
Jerry's voice and tone make my skin crawl, Kramer being a spaz gets old after about 1 episode. The girl is meh in every way. George is the only consistently good main character.

The fact that Jason Alexander was the only cast member to never be Nominated (I think) is just criminal

Did you know that the gay ribbon guy is actually Jamba on Pee Wee's Playhouse?

I mean I'm not knocking anybody who likes it, obviously there's something to it. It's just not for me. I can't stand Jerry.
