I started watching it a few months ago and just was not impressed with the first two seasons. I decided to give it another go starting at season 3. I have to say, it's pretty damn funny. It seems like everyone has hit their stride. Am I to assume that it just gets better as I go along?

It's great from here on out. Seasons 1 and 2 were by far the weakest.

You had never seen one single episode prior to this?

Not even while just flipping channels?

Pretty wild.

GOAT sitcom.

Sure I've seen an episode here or there when I was a kid. I remember it being pretty funny. I haven't had cable for years. This is my first time to watch all the way through.

I had never seen it either and was hoping it would go to Netflix. I started watching recently on TBS, but it's all out of order.

It's on Hulu. I think you can get a free trial. Just watch it then cancel when you're finished. Even so, it's like only 8 bucks a month.

If you are going to do Hulu pay the extra 4 bucks for no commercials.

Yeah Seinfeld took two years to figure itself out. As far as getting better as it goes along...sorta. Once it hits its stride it's pretty consistently great, though the last two seasons are a bit of a tonal shift and are a little controversial. I don't personally find the last two seasons any less funny, just different.

The fact that Seinfeld started out a little rough but given time became the greatest sitcom of its era is why I lost a lot of respect for Jerry when he weighed in on the Tonight Show fiasco in 2010. Jerry, who is Leno's buddy, basically told Conan that he should have been able to pull in the numbers seven months in. Nevermind that in his case there was a patient NBC executive willing to give his struggling show two years and a much stronger lead-in (Cheers) to find its audience.

In fairness, The Tonight Show was already a hot commodity. I love Conan, but I think that audience needs a more conventional, safe host. Again, I love Conan, but I don't think Jerry was wrong.

I'm not THE biggest Seinfeld fan of all time, because they have some big Seinfeld fans on here, but that really is a funny show. Kramer and George are hilarious.

it's a funny show

u have to give it time, some people get annoyed with a character and give up.

i did that with big bang, i watched and episode that was all sheldon, and i was like "feck this show" 2 years later, i was bored and flipped on some bb reruns and loved it from then on.

Seinfeld hits it stride in season 3 and doesn't slow down. It's awesome and you'll enjoy the hell out of it.

Still might be my favorite episode / scene LINK

Elaine's conversation with Jerry (and then Kramer) after her date with Jerry's friend who "took it out" should be shown to every actress in order to teach them comedic timing.
