No Reservations is back on the Cooking channel rotation right now, but I find it hard to watch and enjoy his shows since the suicide. Some little comments sound different now. Shouldn't be that way, but it is what it is.

Love his show. The first season has been on hbo for awhile and I did a rewatch awhile back. The episode where he goes to the Congo is rough, what a miserable place to be in. They took a piece of shite River boat down the Congo River and he was having to cook on the boat by generator light with all kinda bugs around and killing his own chickens n shite, frick all that. Dude is a trooper though. Some of the shite he eats on the show I could never eat, the blood soup in Thailand comes to mind

Andrew Zimmern did a season in America, and he found a Vietnamese man in Jefferson Parish who made fresh 'duck blood pizza' for him. There are reasons I've never watched that show much.

. Season 11 of parts unknown has an episode on Cajun Mardi Gras

That was one of the very last episodes, and it's also one of the worst from his whole career.

A complete example of how life means nothing without Christ. He had everything he thought he wanted, but it will never be enough.

Bourdain called Bill Clinton “a piece of shite. Entitled, rapey, gropey, grabby, disgusting, and the way that he — and she — destroyed these women and the way that everyone went along, and, and are blind to this! Screamingly apparent hypocrisy and venality.”

Bourdain also criticized the Clintons for their response last year to the sexual harassment accusations levied against Harvey Weinstein, their friend and political donor.

“People were really hoping she’d come out with a… I don’t know. Let’s just say with something different. I immediately tweeted my disappointment, very much shaped by what I saw around me. And I will tell you, that was really fricking frightening, the reaction to that. You know, I voted for her,” Bourdain said.

Parts unknown is great commentary, travel and yet frankly the sadness of globalization.

The joie de vivre he had in No Reservations seemed to dissipate under CNN.

The episode in Sicily where he's trying to discuss the mafia and catch live fish...

And they throw dead Octopus into the water...to fool him, on-air, seemed to sap his soul..that his travels and commentary was for naught...as if he had been duped all along his journey in exploring this world.

He was not your average cat and was fun to watch but you could tell there was a tortured soul.

My favrorite Bourdain moment was when he got drunk off his arse and went to Waffle House for the first time.
