He never seemed particularly likable to me, I think the reason his talk show flamed so quickly speaks loudly to that.

I like a couple of his movies but I always thought him a bit overrated. I thought him the least funny of the original SNL cast. I know that's sacrilege to some who put Christmas Vacation as their favorite Christmas movie, but to each his own.

Bill and Chevy are probably both about equally dickish. Both have a history of ruining friendships

The story about Murray and Ramis on Groundhog Day was amazing. Murray was not the director and his friend Ramis was. But that didn't stop Murray from a collaboration with the original author in which they proposed a total rewrite of the script while Ramis was trying to get it filmed

Was he abused as a kid or something? I've of course heard he was a horrific arse but there's gotta be some kind of trauma for people to just piss the world off the way he did

The doc mentioned that his mom used to beat him and slap him to wake him up from sleep all of the time.

The actor doesn't matter. We're not really fans of the actors are we?.
We're fans of the characters they bring to life.
I choose to remember
Ty Webb
Clark Griswold
Irwin Fletcher
Detective Tony Carlson
Dusty Bottoms
Andy Farmer
Emmett Fitz-Hume
Max Fielder
Feel free to add to the list.
