I would put them at #6, just saw it. Loved the last 30 minutes or so and the one liners.

Ghost World is freakin fantastic. And a graphic novel is just a name for a comic book so people don't feel ashamed to be reading comic books.

American Splendor is perhaps my favorite comic book movie ever. Though its not a superhero movie.

I'm glad you brought this up. IDK if it's Germans but DC is doing a Minutemen comic.

I LOVE The Crow. I thinks its underrated and often forgotten when the subject of movies from comic books/graphic novels come up.

Why the love for Spider-man? i thought spiderman 2 was one of the worst movies i have ever seen.

I'm not doubting its good, I've just never heard of it until now.

Its a biopic about a real life comic book artist/writer...not a hero or anything. Its really good.

Exactly what I was thinking. Superman being up there is a joke, made even more ridiculous by the total exclusion of V for Vendetta.

I don't know why Superman the Movie gets so much hate on this board...it's a wonderful film and while it came out far earlier than the first Batman movies wasn't nearly as campy.

I guess if you're watching it in retrospect as a younger person after having watched recent comic book film you can be snotty towards it (if that's your excuse) - but for the time it came out and those that saw it as kids then - it was a great movie experience and set the standard for how to tell a comic book story without being cartoonish.
