Some thoughts on first glance:

Galaxy Quest is waaaaaay underrated on that list.

So is the fifth element. Way to low.

Independence Day criminally low.

Empire>Aliens.

TFA is top 50 at minimum, personally top 15 for me.

Back to the future is top 10

hard to argue with the top ten though I think aliens and T2 are way to high.
hunger games has no business anywhere on this list
I would put serenity and a boy and his dog in the top 20

The Martian should be 80-90 not 29 based off this list. Only major complaint so not a bad list at all

Disagree. Catching Fire was a very solid sci-fi action flick.

Starship Troopers should be nowhere near this list. It was basically a video game.

It's the most entertaining Sci-fi flick of the 90s

Starship Troopers is way higher than I would have thought.

I've already seen many or even most of these, but I think it would be a good check list for me to finish off all of these.

I feel like the plotholes and "love" aspects of Interstellar ruin it. I was told about a lot of it before my first viewing and couldn't appreciate the movie at all while watching it, wish i saw it going in blind

Just realized Avatar is on the list and pretty high in the 40's. Interstellar is a far superior movie.

"Frankenstein" and "Cabin In the Woods" should be on the 100 Greatest Horror list not the Sci-Fi list
