I won’t spoil the twist for you.
Just watched the trailer. Unfortunately it spoils it for you if youre familiar with subject matter.
Looks amazing and cant wait to watch it. But if you plan on watching this, skip the trailer and go in blind.

not sure how skipping the trailer would help. You either know enough about the subject matter or you don't, and if you do, you'll know the twist without a doubt. I didn't know it.
and the movie could have been much better if it didn't have some punk kid disrespecting his Pah the whole movie. Kid needed an arse whipping.
I still enjoyed the movie very much so, just wish that kid would have been better written. I doubt anyone would expect a kid living on a farm with just his dad in 1900's to act like that.

Just finished it and I would agree, great movie! Worth the rental cost.

I watched it tonight. It was OK, not quite as good as it was hyped to be. Twist was good but I really didn't care for the ending. That kid was about as useful as a hole in the head.

Is it a freebie, or do you have to pay?

Rented it last week for 1.99, not sure if it is still that price. Worth the rental though, very good movie.

Ho. Lee. Shitballz.
That is the best western I've seen since Unforgiven and Tombstone.
Now I need to spread the word to friends/family. Thanks for the recommend, weagle.

I finally watched this tonight.
Absolutely beautiful in its simplicity. A reminder that Hollywood doesn’t have to invest millions in CGI and locations to make a 9/10 film.
Simple story, location never went further than 500 yards from the main set. It was emotional, investing, edge of your seat dramatic, sentimental, great action and great acting.
I loved it. Tim Blake Nelson was amazing. Villains were set up great, the twist gave me chills once revealed.
Outstanding film. A reminder that small budget movies, a simple yet wonderfully told story, great cinematography, and great acting still win the day.

Bumping this because just watched Old Henry yesterday and it’s great. Highly recommend.

I ended up buying it on Prime, but it can be rented for $4.99 in HD, so there's no excuse for anyone to miss this instant classic, unless they hate great Westerns.

Rented it tonight because of this thread and it didn’t disappoint. I also rewound and rewatched the twist/reveal about 10x - very well done.

It's the best Western in recent memory. The 3:10 to Yuma remake with Russell Crow and Christian Bale was the last great Western.
