So, you want some, too? Christmas has nothing to do with First Blood. First Blood just has to happen someplace it is cold. No presents. No "Christmas" is why the protagonist or antagonist are doing a single fricking thing. The movie easily happens any other time it is cold.
"At Christmas" does not make it a Christmas movie. "Because of Christmas" makes it a Christmas movie.
Same with the release date. The Shape of fricking Water was a November release. Not a Christmas movie.

Because of is an interesting way to put it, I think most Christmas movies are “about” Christmas. But I think (salty moody or not
) it is a legit quest of whether Die Hard is simply at Christmas. You make a good case, it’s why he goes out to LA and why there’s an office party, though what company even in the past had a Christmas party on Christmas Eve? Though he could go out to try an reconcile with his wife anytime. Same with Gremlins, he didn’t give Billy the Magwi on Christmas and a man traveling in business could get his son anytime. But we could do that all day The real kicker is It’s a Wonderful Life, it only ends at Christmas
