Have a happy Wednesday, cocksuckers.

I never even thought of him for the role, but he'll be amazing.

Perfect casting. I didn't realize they had cast Ricky Whittle as Shadow:

Also great casting.

Now if they could just land Omar from the Wire as Low-Key Lyesmith:

We'll be in great shape.

You're joking on that last one, right?

I feel like casting a black guy as a red-headed Viking god would be a bit off the mark.

Who said that shadow was red headed. I always pictured shadow as Native American honestly or even a dark haired white guy.

BTW, spoilers

I was referring to his pick of Omar from The Wire as Low-Key.

Considering who Low-Key actually is, you know he's not black.

Shadow, on the other hand, is absolutely dark skinned. It's stated several times. I really like Whittle in the role.

I'm going to be honest, I really wanted to like this book. The premise is cool and the characters intruiging, but the book bored me to tears....
He's in that little town doing nothing for like 200 pages

I wasn't a huge fan of the book. I love everything else gaiman does but American gods was needlessly morbid and generally lacking in creativity. I might read it again one day, but it was generally meh.

Interesting. I thought it was one of the single most creative stories to come out in years.

Is it a bit too early to start the Ian McShane v. Anthony Hopkins argument?
